February
The calendar’s schizophrenic,
in such constant indecisions.
Ten times a day the weatherman,
gives me his forecast revisions.
Snowflakes fall with claps of thunder,
rain will be mixed with frozen sleet.
Mornings it will be frigid cold,
afternoon brings us burning heat.

New Haiku Entry
Flowers of love
Looking sweet and smell pretty
Giving life to all
Lovely Humming Bird
Sings a love song to the soul
Empty hearts renewed
Passion projected
Valentines now on the brink
Why only today?
Poems by Wayland bunch written 1/29/13 10:06pm Ok these are the revisions of my Haiku that have nature references...

The Unaltered Depiction
Startled by the hallucination
of himself upon the wall
The man of a compromised conscience
cringes with apprehensive velocity
Debilitating panic emerges
with a disconcerting air of predictability
Transporting him, intangibly, to a setting that prohibits
his own narration
Forcing him to endure his biography
without any preferred revisions...

New Home Mansion In Heaven
And in my dream that's where I am
Along with Jesus and God and Abraham
No greater love, no humanity
Could contain, chorale, or elevate
Consumed with ambition
Glorious revisions
Golden paved streets
And on them mansions galore
My name on the mortgage, no this isn't a loan
My Lord, My God has given me heaven
New home mansion in heaven

Silver Lining
Combing through the carnage
Questions outnumber answers
Derailed if dwell on the details
Will we forfeit all our advances?
Easy to get singularly focused
On second guessing decisions
Better to not ruminate on regrets
Since the past has no revisions
Power in pivoting to the present
As a new path has been charted
Final destination still unknown
But in a better place than we started...

The Magic of Writing
Writing is freedom
An escape from this chaotic world
Your pen gliding across the paper
Each perfect word carefully chosen
Magical thoughts appearing in your mind
Your hand aching- but not caring
The pen halting to a stop
Your eyes moving back and forth rereading your masterpiece
A sweet taste consumes your mouth as you say, “Man that’s good”
Deciding no more revisions will do you justice
You stow it away in a journal for only your eyes to read....

Undiscovered
I feel like a
mountain,
undiscovered,
lost amongst a
forbidding range,
its quiet sides
rock-strewn and snow
covered,
its anonymity
unlikely to change.
No climbers seek out
its cloud shrouded
peak,
hidden beside
greater visions,
there is nothing
special of which to
speak,
never to be
map-made revisions.
It blocks no path or
points the hiker’s
way,
None even find it
derisible,
For all the world I
can confidently say,
It is simply
invisible....
