HOW UNWISE

How unwise a man seems
When
Within a transient life
A
Permanent residence to
Build strives!

Nightlife

As the moon wafts a brilliant smile
Stars wink in reaction for miles
Gently night tucks in

Darkness settles in with silence
Nocturnal beings residence
Till sunrise ascends

Premium Member Relocating

Softly
fake freedom rings,
strangling society;
Intellect walks and with some class
moves on;
Relocation of residence
wisely wields a weapon,
revolting in
silence.

The Blissful Residence

Have a blessed birthday, Nikee,
God's children possess obedience;
Submission to God is the key
To reach the blissful residence.

Once She Lived

There’s not a more broken heart than hers,
An abyss of darkness is her soul’s residence,
All her love’s in vain, she now repents,
The gates of heaven forever closed.

Premium Member Is It Wise

Tell me, my friend,

How wise is it for someone

To strive to build a permanent residence

Within

The perimeter of a transient life?

God’s paintings begin.
Smile, have thee, no chagrin.

Dusk Amidst the Forest - Visual 6

As dusk approaches the coruscating purple fog appears
While creatures great and small undertake their residence of sleep
But in that beautiful ambiance the werewolf scrutinizes

I have chosen Visual 6.

Premium Member A Couplet Within a Rhyme

I have a couplet that describes the difference,
between my home and my place of residence.
The couplet goes,
as follows;
"My place of residence is where I receive all of my mail,
but my home is the endless wilderness trail."

Premium Member Permanent Residence

The wise I asked:

" Where should I build my permanent residence?"

" Permanent?" He inquired

"Yes!" I retorted

" Only in heaven. " He, compassionately, replied.

The Battery of the Heart

SINOATRIAL NODE
Inside your heart of hearts, I have my cosy residence
I produce funny currents and start my innate cadence
My loyal junior takes over, in case I am a bit sick
Yet he can never match…... the speed of my tick

Premium Member Residence of Bliss

If you ever wish, my beloved brother,

The residence of heavenly bliss to reach

You have only to follow the path of love

That our Lord, persistently, tries us to teach!

The Sinking Year

the world goes down
in grayish cushions
colors are choked
and yellow-fingered
leaves desert their
dripping residence

the days are melting
between twilights
evaporating time
and swallows now
are quick to leave
the sinking year

Premium Member Harboring a New Idea

breaking a new idea wide open
dazzling myself with anticipation of possibilities
futuristic particles of hope pour into my soul
I anticipate a metamorphic change
I am transmogrified into a new me
as I let her take up residence in my brain

Premium Member Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison couldn't sell the idea of selling electricity
to business or residence in any major state or city.
The biggest fear for seven years that was often being disputed
was that if one were to turn a light on, they could get electrocuted.

Premium Member Illegal

Old man Webster and his partner Merriam tell us a person who enters or lives in a country without the documentation required for legal entry or residence is an illegal,

but perhaps those erstwhile gents are only good for crosswords and scrabble.

Bookshelf Breakout

The ancient cracking bookcase stuttered
Books trembled upon the shelves,
Then scattering across the rug bound floor
Where they took up new residence.

Those left in the bookshelf
started to rock back and forth
hoping to join the colonials on the floor.

Premium Member Love's Residence

Love could never reside in one’s heart

If

Hatred and bigotry aren’t first evicted!

A Cat's Presence

Each day, you pull us into a trance.

Just by breathing in your sleep.

And when you are awake-

You wander the house with some unknown initiative.

Taking residence near us.

Near our conversations.

To give off a fascinating meow.

As if to imprint your presence.

Premium Member The Resident Cartoonist

I am the resident cartoonist
in this residence
My husband is the only other resident
Except for the dogs
and the missing cat

I am the resident poet too
Although my husband wrote poetry first
He has written two or three really good poems
But he likes my poems better
He is a wise man.
