Greyheaded Dreams
old women still have dreams
so they lie restlessly
in soft single beds
away from mirrors
that fracture their expectations;

they turn towards walls
where cracks can be smoothed
with shaking fingers
and shadows can be reshaped
into ageless promise......

Watching Us Age
I'm watching you age
into wiser smiles, measured steps.
(Your lines look beautiful)

Gravity of life reshaped
our foolish expenses of energy
(Oh, the hurrying we did together)

wasted vanity of emotions.
I love our becoming...
more vast of vivid moments

(Our expanding normal bits)
gnarled with experiences....

Knife Work
Whittling away another hour,
thoughts recycled into knife blades,

Forgive them, they but whittle you,
they shape the figure that sits and carves.

The shavings fall, the hour grows thin.
and when the work is done,

there will be no knife,

no reshaped figure,

only a hand -
whittling and writing....

On two feet adorned with five inches of pointed toes

Fatima oozes elegant seduction from crown to her base

Necked with gold jewels she strides along ankle braced

Proud back leaning forward her hips lead to reshaped bosom

When stylish stilletos falter she falls flat on her delicate face

Traveling the Stillness
A rooted backyard rock,
blooms
in the morning sunlight.

All night
it has been time travelling
through the history of the earth,
now it is flowering,
for the light has reshaped it
into stillness once more.

For an unfurling moment
we both cast no shadow
upon this spiraling eon,
as we orbit a sun
together....

Thinking of You
When you bloom in my garden,
My wounds will be given wings,
Colorful dotted wings,
They will be reshaped into butterflies!

When you twinkle at my sky,
Pains will hide in the forest of clouds
Smooth feathers of rain
kiss the roots of my soul!

When you sit on my shore,
The waves will dance,
Rush to touch the petals of your feet.
A cool breeze will hug me silently....

Premium Member God Never Gives Up
A lump of clay upon God's wheel, Twas such a simple start. The gentlest of hands I could feel, As He reshaped my heart. If wrong things I may do or say, Discard me he does not. Like an earthly potter and his clay, God uses what He's got. A perfect vessel when he is done, Nothing fancy yet you see. But with God I must be number one, For He still works on me.

Premium Member I Am There In the Tides of Time
Of late I feel like a sandbar,
in the proverbial river of life.
Pushed and pulled by the flow,
reshaped by friction and strife.

No real place I feel at home.
Not really anchored , yet not adrift.
No adornment and no beauty,
Get close and you'll find I've got grit.

Somtimes I rise above life to stand,
catching some folks unaware.
I'm usually just below the surface,
over run by life and dispair....

Premium Member Window Pain
You think I'm looking out the window
While I view my own reflection
Staring at this distorted image
Without your eyes detection

I'm looking, at this person
Who I no longer know
I was stronger once
Where did that person go?

You took him from me
Left this Zombie behind
You have reshaped me
To this person I find

I turn from the window
I have seen enough
The view would've been better
My life reflected is too tough...

Cnn Senryu
if bombs fall on a
far off place can CNN
make us feel the pain

woman lies about
her color do we color
her in black and white

man massacres nine
innocent souls yet some care
more about burnt flag

Charley Cotton blames
the dead for dying because
they didn't want to kill

a flag flies above
intolerance lives below
hate lives between them

emancipation
reshaped a nation don't fly
stars and bars no more...

And Be Transformed
And be transformed into a caterpillar's dream,
Shedding old skins for wings of vibrant hue.
Emerge from chrysalis, a golden beam,
A phoenix rising, born again anew.
Like clay reshaped by a potter's gentle hand,
Or ore refined in life's hot crucible.
A seed that breaks its shell to understand
The sky's expanse, once deemed impossible.
And be transformed into a prism-catching light,
Revealing colors hidden from our sight....
