Autumn's Renew

strong gusting winds swirl
leaves like kites with jet packs fly

fighting their demise
enjoying life now
freedom to soar high and far

tomorrow's compost

Renew

That affection is back you're
all mine the look in you're
eyes saying to me you will
always find a soft place in me kiss
is strong
cutting through my flesh
to my soul the touch
is love makes me
moan

The Fire Within

Tearing a page away from troubling times
A beautiful disaster no longer the captive

Emerging from the murky waters
Renewed and flourishing

As forest fires promote
new growth abounds

Arising anew with rekindled spirit
Sailing on an uncharted sea

Oath To Renew

N-ew year's oath to renew
I-s to complete the race;
C-hosen life is truly bright,
E-ternal God gives His grace.

G-reatest oath to renew
U-ses faith, hope, and love;
R-ighteousness and counsel
A-re coming from God above.
N-ever turn a deaf ear,
G-o listen to the words so true;
O-n the twenty-ninth of December, rehearse your oath to renew.

Renew In the Memory

W-ind again in the mind,
E-arnestly learn to remember;
A-im not to ever forget
N-or to say none or
N-ever.

B-egin to renew in the memory,
I-t's now time to revive;
T-he past has a lot to give,
A-s it keeps the brain alive.
N-ever ignore the lessons taught,
C-herish them to gain glory;
O-n the twenty-seventh of September,
R-enew in the memory.

I love the way the fog rests on the mountains, like a soft blanket
With the rocky cliffs showing through like faces in the hills
Even with relentless rain, there is peace to be found
Looking in the distance, at drapes of floating mist
Knowing when they lift, everything will shine once again
As if some beauty of the landscape, needed cover to renew

Renew Your Hope

Dream and believe your dream.
Hopeless hope is hope reborn.
When hope seems slow to meet your dream,
Renew your hope; hope again.

The mirror that reflects your tomorrow
Is not broken.
He has spoken.
Hold fast to that token;
Lay it deep within your heart.
It is the assurance of hope,
The evidence of things unseen.
It shall surely manifest in time.
Renew your hope,
And keep hoping.

Premium Member I Am Still Becoming

I am not who I was,
but not yet who I will be.
I am clay that breathes,
still soft in His hands.

Moulded, patted, pressed—
a dance,
not forced,
but gently guided.

Shaping my steps forward,
sweeping the ones left behind,
holding me upright
in the moment that is now.

I am not who I was,
but not yet who I will be.
I am still becoming—
everything You see me as,
and everything I want to be.

Premium Member Desert Gold

silver swords strike
red mountain
exposing the night

flash bang x-rays
bombarding my soul
rattling windows

tin roof deluge
staccato
gushing down my heart
cleansing the gutters

spring shower
desert gold
invigorating my spirit
renewing cactus flowers

fragrant fresh morning
tender breath from above
gentle sun warming

red blossom dripping
sweet nectar of heavenly love
wee hummer sipping

My spirit sags
so where do I go
to renew my spirit
Only I know

To my notebook
or laptop
I sit and I write
Until my fingers say stop

And my heart feels light
My soul is uplifted
my mind is sharp
my thoughts are sifted

Poetry is my vacation
where I relax and rest
It's where I can get heavy stuff
off of my chest

I love to visit poet land
and give it my all
so that I can live my life
and still stand tall

Renew

Incense whispers drift skywards
Echos amid the memory boxes.

Prising lids off revealing recollection relics -
Fragments labeled and categorised.
I run my hand over each:
Exploring the worn grooves of emotion -
Branded into being human by perspective!
Examining each piece I question it's reality...
Is it time to redefine? rediscover? to re-remember?

The pathway forward is revealed by
Incense whispers drifting skywards...

Premium Member To Live With the Virus

An action to fight the virus
After a long long war
Maybe is to live with it
Some people invoke our interest in
Living with the virus
Before something else besides SOP
Can be done
Just like you live with your loved ones
Although they are not perfect
Just like you have to face your enemies before
They repent and renew themselves
God love everyone and He has given him
The right to have the best choice
And to every choice
There is a consequence

Watch

I used to live in a watch
I followed the movements of the screws and cogs
It isn’t till recently I broke out of that box
Now I live life untimed
Free from the rudementary

But without that who are we
Without purpose, movement or symmetry
Without the hand the face is lost

Now I’m a watch without batteries forever stoped

If only I were a sun clock, then my dependability would never stop

But a las I am not
I am not
But a faceless clock to a lost watch
Forever stoped
