As I walk out past the sands of Loyola beach,
out to the lighthouse on the point,
I thank god for this small retreat, this recouping,
and reforming of my reckless life.
An unusually warm May wind
caresses my face and tickles a foreign smile
upon my lips.
I look at the vast cloudless sky
and seemingly endless waters
and begin to realize my purpose again,
my reason for being, myself,
and my happiness so long forgotten....

Everyday I watch you brave it out refusing to give in
As the days turn to weeks and blur into months
Recouping all the strength that this merciless beast has torn from you
Leaving believers in your wake with each visit to the cancer ward
Eveyone applauding you efforts your pesistence
Saving the best for last you never even consider holding back
Saving herself with all the and support  to win her battle with breast cancer...
