In the silence
I think,
day dream I suppose..
thoughts drift in
as images...
In this quiet I
am so alone ...
awaiting some inspiration.
One by one a word
appears ..unannounced..
I write it down here in
this verse.
I wash my face twice a day
Once vigorously
As if I am exercising demons
Residing in my pores
And once gently
In circular, sweeping movements
Like I am washing away the crust of tears
That have come to settle on my cheeks
A poem can be flowery
Illusory
Capricious
Frivolous
Some are short, others rather long
Flow like a song
Reveal one's soul
If that's the goal
For me, it's a declaration
A translation
Of random thoughts
A mind's snapshots
Hurrying steps
Passed by his side
For rolling stones
He stepped aside
He under played himself
Helping others prove themselves
He gave up his roles
Making happy depressed souls
Is he a loser?
Or owns goodness
galore?
Pieces of paper scattered about.
Each one has something written down.
Random thoughts in the middle of the night.
Come up and I need to write.
Grabbing a pen and freeing my soul.
Is just another piece of my puzzled world.

Lightning’s flash,
shows me where to hide,
when the thunder comes.

or the simple line?
In the land of Balsa,
the elders know
not to hind in their homes
when the big storm comes.
