Music Handel Couldn'T Handle

in a toddler's chuckle and giggle,

     there's a symphony so heavenly

          pure and simple,

the musical beauty and depth of which

would have been, even to the great Handel,

                         too complex to handle !

I Love You

"I love you."
Words that mean nothing,
Emotions that grow old.
Life moves on as
Passion's heat becomes cold.
"I love you."
So easily spoken,
But something don't feel.
You've left a scar
That even time won't heal.
"I love you."
So pure and simple:
The cruelest of lies.
I no longer think of you
With tears in my eyes.
Form:

Truth Lies

Truth a word in tegrous clawed
Regal right admitted awed
Under spell of power old
Time has held it to be told
Hiding naught and standing bold

While the wicked ways of man
Indicate that no one can
Lie in true evasion
Let a pure and simple fool

Offer this assertion
Underneath each lie that's told
There lies a seed of truth
Form: Acrostic

A Wayward Soul

With least resistance reconcile
The truest course to travel
The distance can’t be kept in miles
A wayward soul no map to follow
Directions held within your heart
The answers pure and simple
A journey set out from the start
Littered with threat of peril
Through many obstacles maneuver
Upon your path be true
And reach the place to whence you've come
Set perfectly for you

Premium Member If I Was An Executioner

If I was an executioner
I would be a failure pure and simple.
I would believe them.
And I would free them.

If I was the executioner.
They would all ask for me.
Knowing how easy I can be.
No one would cry.
And no one would die.
If I was the executioner.

So you are all voting for me!
What lovely townspeople you are!
Sure I will set you all free.
I am an executioner star!

Old age and its wisdom but
mostly luck of the draw one inch to the right
or left of the arrow that kills a comrade beside me
To be just past the flames that explode and incinerate
those unfortunate enough to be in front of me
is luck
pure and simple at the cost of dreams and desires
Narrow piercing painful eyes that have seen so much
and wonder still why those who make war
seldom dress for battle

Free Verse Experiment

I need a little guidance to find coincidence in the way people sway to this romance of chance that brings forth song and dance out of the gray and lovers confidence to say, "your love is what I need every day". Pure and simple as if it were just a ripple in the lake of love that seemed to flood and overtake the mud and muck and make me a man who can't mistake when I hear that same band and grasp the same hand.

Love Found In Beauty

I am seen in a new light
A new love
where I am discovered
Found in beauty
Caught in a moment
Where I am in pure delight
Fancy in the keeping
A fantasy made reality
Pure and simple
Innocent yet so real
Delicate to the touch
Tender yet so surreal
I am found in your touch
And lost in the pools of your brown eyes
You are rare
An exquisite treasure
The jewel buried deep inside
Where I find the missing puzzle to my life.

Happy Feet

Little girls and happy feet
Fills the soul with hearts, laughs loud.
Links girls and heaven; cheers a crowd.
Where ballet and smiling fun soon meet.

A steady dance upon life’s coarse.
Too soon, they up and go away.
Always remembering their smiles that day.
Pure and simple; joy with no remorse.

Dreams and flowers a retreat.
Sweet memories and dancing feasts
Uplifts the face of mundane beasts.
Oh, little girls with happy feet.

Poem

Once, I was a poem---
A memory of a rose, ever-watchful
Of the orb, whilst angel’s trumpet fills the air.

Oh, sometimes then, I was a sweet poem---
The art of your heart;
‘Twas pure and simple, ‘cause that’s what I am.

The poem and I---fourteen lines
Of uncluttered life, warming the coldness of nights;
Relentlessly, rhyming to the sound of your breath.

A sonnet of love, you proudly wrote
Of me, but that was before…
You lustily engaged yourself, with a free-verse.
Form: Lyric

Rude But Sweet

Rude but sweet

You break the pipe of ice cream
With the smile of cheese I saw
the cartoon of rolling clever sweet
little girl for the fight of atracting the
image below the house of heart
without a word you said I am still in
the part of my life and don't worry
about my feelings because it's rude
 but sweet for you......
I finish the sense of your word
which is pure and simple like your
rude but sweet toast of kissi cakes
