I Love You

"I love you."
Words that mean nothing,
Emotions that grow old.
Life moves on as
Passion's heat becomes cold.
"I love you."
So easily spoken,
But something don't feel.
You've left a scar
That even time won't heal.
"I love you."
So pure and simple:
The cruelest of lies.
I no longer think of you
With tears in my eyes.
