You once had a mother
And how was she?
She was gentle, kind and caring,
As gracious as could be.
And you?
You played house,
You dressed your dolls,
You took them for walks in their prams
You gave them their bottles,
And you rocked them to sleep.
But now, you know,
You’ll never be a mother,
You experience anguish, hurt and pain,
