Either Laying or Playing Than Portraying
Low for them Trump really was laying;
Usual around always would be playing;
Like a doll;
Does appall;
Likes to lie and from laws is straying.

Tones of sea urchins
Glisten in large glass sculptures
On umbrellas blue
Shades of jade caress
Swirling glass styles portraying
Regal floral views
A poem to a poet
is like manner to his soul
portraying life, love and hate
magically to enthrall
many ways of expressing
the deep love within our hearts
Loudly crying in anger
when the pain of losing starts
There is an acting coach in Battle Creek
Who taught his theatrical collie to speak
Now portraying King Lear
He’s Time’s Dog Of The Year
And stars in Lassie Call Home in a week

Overlays
Are the seeming
Maps and filters
Stories and concepts
Memories and expectations
Portraying and explaining
What's happening..
Overlays may
Seem to hide
Nothing at all
Appearing as
Overlays...
Thoughts and perceptions
Portraying everything
From oranges to quantum theory to
Esoteric spiritual experience..may
Seem to fog the emptiness
Appearing as everything..yet
Thoughts and perceptions
And the fog are all empty...
A lullaby so intense
Sang by the humming birds
in the morning's welcome
Rising the eyes of a lad,
Portraying the beginning of a new day
WORDS
We write
Must be ours
Written from our hearts
Portraying inner thoughts
While staying true to ourselves
“Revealing our creative muse”

Exacting feverous,
Gratifying harmonious
Idyllic Jazz.
Kings, Lords, make noble
Obeisance portraying

Ratifications.
Some, tendering
Unqualified verity, when
Exuberant youth
Zonked!

It's yourself you deny
By portraying a lie
If you fake your way
Through life each day
Your spirit, your soul
Will reach a black hole
That's when you'll know
How the power to grow
Is to trust your worth
Right from birth
Because being true
Is being you.

Who is she?
Who paints her beauty with words
Portraying all these vivacious colours of hers
On this canvas
Where her emotions are captured
And her true self I can only imagine
Her emotions, a cannon
That blows me away
In my mind she is a silhouette without a name
Hopefully it won’t stay this way
Form:
Pristine pink pumps press
past the pale pine,
Placing poised pirouettes,
perfectly prime.
Proudly, she pauses, portraying
pure grace,
Pacing the platform, a phantom
in lace.
She spins sweet symphonies,
swift, soft, and still,
Soaring so splendidly, showing
sublime skill.
Silken skirts shimmer and
shadows start sliding.
Poets pen Personifications, Pantoums, plus Prose
Providing prepositions, present participles prettily pose
Patiently presenting parodies
Portraying powerful persuasive possibilities
Painting pictures poetically
Persistently pursuing perfect phrases

A hill that's
about to vanish
with a spark
reflecting
from a loner's home
scintillating
like a star.
When I was a kid,
the hill was loftier,
was a landmark
to locate my school
from the roof of our house.
Unlike back then,
it‘s in a tortured state
like counting down
the leftover
years of life
along with
a solitary glow
portraying
the last hope.
Humpty Dumpty never sat on the wall
This was how he fooled us all
He wore a large egg suit, begging for money
Portraying that he was sweet as honey
He put on an entertaining show
Until faking his demising blow
He did not know his shell would crack
And break his skull during the act
His plan backfired and, in the end,
Humpty Dumpty will never live again

she's very talented with words,
the words she writes expresses emotions,
some poets find hard to write,
she feels the pain in some poems,
written in their darkest moments,
she's a seer,
she saw the images,
I was portraying in my poems,
she's a keeper,

Why are some unable to see
What is right in front of their eyes
The manipulation and hypocrisy
Blatant deceit and outright lies
The inauthenticity of a human soul
Pretending to be ,only to gain
Righteous and so pure of heart
Just playing a dishonest game
Empty words portraying kindness
Meaningless and untrue
Why are some unable to see
When an imposter is in clear view!
I love Bougainvilleas
Mighty thorny showstoppers
Though be careful if you come in contact
As they will cut you good and proper!
A flower of such magnificence
With a defiant mind of its own
Growing fast and wild
Uncontrollable left unattended and alone!
Miraculous colours abound
Pure nature personified
Occupies it’s space with perpetual colour
Portraying independence and pride!
It’s time to hide your face my dear.
I’ve noticed that Van Gogh is here,
Employing his artistic skills,
Portraying all these daffodils.
He’ll probably include us too,
Thus compromising me and you.
If it’s hung in a gallery,
I’m fearful that my wife will see.
She thinks I’m at a seminar.
No reason to suspect so far.
So turn your back and walk away.
We’ll come back here another day
