Portents of the storms to come
Ascends the altar drunk on rum

Forgets his two-word line, 'I do'
Says instead, 'Do I know you?'

Mystical Moon

Mystical Moon

Sweet Selene shines soothingly,
Waxed full, full formed,
Portends potent portents of some import
Some silent, some spoken
Some sinister, some saintly.
Mystical moon, lunatic Luna..

I once knew a seer, name of Hortense
     Who specialized in ominous portents
Said I should marry a toad
Long as he cleaned and he sewed
I said, ‘You go first ~ It makes so much sense’

Halloween In Spring

Sometimes I think
I enjoy fear
remembering what I felt
when I was fearless.

I awake bravely
in the morning knowing
risks and hearing continuous
portents, sad words

follow me everywhere.
Is silence the scariest thing,
or is the gabble of human
voices scarier still?

spheres
           shapes,
                      diagonals:
shifting fragments,
           changing spaces....
backdrops
             of the mind:
elaborate
             tones
blocks of white
              opaque
              portents

Mystical Matrimony

When fate decides to bring you love
Blithe portents ferry on snow white dove
For two, unseemly hands weave master glove
Then twain bodies will one soul share
Twined hearts will alternate beats square
Free spirits will in harmonious chorus flare
Dissonant minds, other's thoughts instinctively pair

chaos
       can appeal
frivolity
         might reign
confusion
           can remain
when daydreams
        become real:
the literal
        made known
can cast light
        on things
        once hid:
obscure
portents
          remembered
virtual
         reality...
almost...

WINDOW OF THE SOUL

She painted herself as a cathedral window, sometimes in pieces, surrounded by ethereal color, true eyes, full lips. The windows of her soul, open and attentive. Will you recollect her countenance? Will you frame the friendship or glance at another portrait more to your portents - a shadow crossing?

Important Portents

Clawing out from humanity
No jigsaw fits my shape
Important portents
Shamefully misled
The tear from the stone that never bled
Phoenix trapped within a mirrored prism
watching every death
Resignation accepted
The stadium packed with the bodies
of warring thoughts
Goofy toothed roundabout
beckons forth my silken course
deny the empty source

The postures of politicians,
a plausible,polite pretence,
persuasive,parleying portents;
Vain and vacuous,verily
void of verity ,in victory
ever evasive,elusive
and endlessly exhilerant;
So patronisingly perfect
with an ever-ready excuse,
an expert at everything,
except at telling-the-truth !

Note:
We have a General Election in the Uk this Spring.

Words Gone Wild

Spells

and

portents

words gone wild,

stealing off a favored child,

take this silver scale and token,

write the words
your Muse has spoken,

etched in fiery streaks

of Murder,
tell the truth the way you heard her,

see the monster in the mirror,
hurry now your fate grows clearer,

break the circle drawn around you

say a prayer,
the Truth has found you.

Thunderstorm

Azure panels fade; shed golden mane
Black, celestial portents mail links chain
Windows of heaven shaded darker strain
Foggy panes availing beams do disdain
Billowing, gray folds gilded tapestry doth stain
Burgeoning spouts brackish bile to drain
Reverberating drums strike dolesome refrain
Streaking bolts o'er tumult wax then wane
An eerie whistle howls announcing the careening train

Premium Member Stormy Whether

Only the unfinished moon pierced the gray haze,
not a star shown in the mist muffled sky above.
The ashen air was thick with the portents, dismayed ...
death blanketed firmament, the diadem above.
From the south the fierce winds came, their might at bay,
from the north the cold winds came, snow fell above,
and only the unfinished moon spoke of doom,
as the mother of all storms arose and bloomed.

Premium Member Weather Report

weather report

sun is lost again
air is drab, too close,
perfect affectation to
play across the landscape
of my muffled mind.

many days have begun
and/or ended this way.
neighbours send up fire
crackers to placate god
break up the celestial portents.

explosion, fire, reveals
the bland face of cloud which
blocks our visions. neither wizard
nor rain maker needed. we
end with a calamitous whimper.

Happiness

Homecoming through furrows of snow
Absent is the dreariness of past days
Popping balloons to celebrate this event
Portents of laughter diminish long miles
Inclement is winter with its biting cold
Nobody seems annoyed on this snowy day
Exuberant spirits tune to a Christian Station
Simply stupefied by the wonderment around
Slumberous and white is the tamed landscape

Another Lovely Day

The fabric of time, bends to our will.
The portents of love, we will fulfill.

People always find, reasons to live.
When someone appears, with hope to give.

The music today, looking for soul.
when it has no heart, it takes a toll.

The thinkers- know-how, will rue the day.
Becoming a force, that comes to play.

Green newbies appear, and not to lose.
They all seem to have, their blue suade shoes.

Another lovely day, full of strife.
A lonely android, longing for life!
