Premium Member Astronomy and Astrology Went For a Walk
Sweet Astrology and Self-Assured Astronomy went for a little walk.
Astronomy said “Glad we can have this little self-respecting talk.”
Astrology sighed.
Astronomy tried.
To self-promote his science, pontificating during every squawk....

Premium Member OF SAGE NATURING WORDS: A Reflection On Pontificating Words
In natured wording,
In what season can you say,
“Never say never?!”
It’s said, “God never leaves us!”
Never will this not be?!

Never ever stop
Fighting for liberation;
No, never ever:-
Such audacious wordplay;
Saying, “Never say never.”

The Intellectual Elf
Working at looking studious,
  the academic went his way

Pontificating what he didn’t know,
  his students bowed and swayed

Reading only what was duly sworn
  writing safe, within the shelf

To himself was he now smitten blind
   —an intellectual elf

(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2015)...

Hypocrisy
Truth bubbling forth as from a mountain spring.
A gem set in gold resting on purple velvet,
“Better a smooth step than a smooth tongue.”

He rotates his posterior to the world,
While his eyes are transfixed upon its reflection,
Body impacts a light pole without anticipation.

Mouth pontificating.
Heart petrifying.
Soul putrefying....

Trump Pontificating
Trump Pontificating

Trump I presume when he pontificated,
Am sure many he must have humiliated;
With gotten away,
Done day by day;

He had distinguished and demonstrated.

Jim Horn

Some poets off often do seem to slack;
Maybe any time to write they will lack;
Eat more ice cream;
Poem about  dream;
So I am older now and will hit the sack.

Premium Member Congress
I hear their almighty roar!
Lions pontificating on the Senate floor.
I see wolves prowling the House chamber;
Howling to create a national anger;
Media circus masters have them controlled,
In the big tent they’ve both extolled.
Matters not who is in the majority;
Expanding authority, always the priority;
Acts restricting freedom and prosperity;
Do not represent my constituency;...

Premium Member I Am So Bored With Bores
I am so bored with bores,
so much so I snore,
standing listening,is such a chore.

I am so bored with bores,
they seem to haunt my crowd,
and they are so,so loud.

I am so,so bored with bores,
especially so called celebrities
ever pontificating on my tv.

I am so,so very bored with bores,
and resolved to leave them on their own,
but found,I too am now,so often alone!

isms are not working Politics 8
Worries they have none
Turning the country into poverty
Hush your lip
Isms aren't working
We cant talk freely here

They tell what is good for you
In this septic isle
We expect to listen to the expectancy of truth
we are the refrain

Pontificating people
They don't talk for me
And Labour has left out on emancipation
Disney Land has come to town
Who pays the Life guard
we are all drowning...

If I Were To Become Famous
If I were Famous What Would I Do?

If I were to become famous
Here’s what I would do
I would appear on CNN
24/7 pontificating up a Storm
I would have a podcast
A YOUTUBE channel
And I would have an entourage
Following me everywhere
And each night
I would make love
To another woman
And have a harem
Of erotic delights
Waiting for me
Every day
That is what I would do
If I were to become famous
For being famous...

Sanctuary
Footsteps thumping inches
down the ramp
under the stained glass window
gathering Jesus’ sheep

bleating and pausing
forward and sideways
scuffing the first white shoes
towards church

moments on the move
squatting before altar steps
with a devilish glint
in blue angel spaces

a hurried hosanna
reaches like yoga toes
and quickly giggles
with pontificating souls

dropping to knees
rub the foot-trodden rug
measuring worship
in tiny prayer...
