Premium Member When Snow Melts

I have frequently wondered about snow
When it melts, where does it go

Yet my ponderings too oft lead to pollutions
  Preceding hurried late-night ablutions

Ruled By Mars

Assertive aspirations
Rattle cages to
Impart liberation,
Existential ponderings and
Sustainable harmony through respect

Listen to poem:
Rosey wore rings in ears, toes, nose, on all fingers at once Despite their appeal they were all silent. Seen, but never heard, Ring tones, in silent mode, quelled, mute.

With Imagination of the Mind

Bountiful banquets served by the mind
Keats, Poe and Frost once sat and dined
Men pick up their pens and find
Voices that have need to say
Reverie holds sway
Soon verses display
Ponderings
Here and
Now.

Inner peace

Wanderings of my soul
and dwindling ponderings,
Wither as I perish
and serene I shall keep,
Peace with my inner self !

Premium Member Writing Outside the Lines

Frenetic ponderings of a poet!
Some savor the quick and easy,
Sayings and lovely straight lines.

Mine rove serpentine, a wild ride
Through deep dark caves, rich
With pirate’s buried plunder.

This poet’s mind strays to days
Past, present, future - not always
Mine. Follow the treasure map.

My Mind

My mind is a dreamy river,
that flows untiring - smooth and rapid,
murmuring the words it adores,
the burbles of its ponderings.

Premium Member Year's End--December Ponderings

Year’s end approaches. Thoughts of coming days
Excite me. More than ever, love of friends
And family sustains me. God, I praise.
Redeemed, I’m Heaven-bound when life here ends.
So, I conclude there’s GOLD in life’s late phase.

Strange Ponderings

in the realm of yesterday
I am now but a ghost
a shadow that wandered away
yet another forgotten post
in the reality of the present
I know I'm but an illusion
      a dream that won't relent
      my surroundings mere delusion
therefore my future must be
a story waiting to written
by a delusional ghost
trapped within an illusion

Ponderings On a Friend's Evening

so - did ya?
did ya go to the open mic?
did ya go on ya bike?
did ya stand on the stage?
full of angst and rage?
or spout forth good cheer
did ya overcome ya fear?
despite the cold,
did ya act all bold?
...
or stay at home in ya bed
feeling sorry with dread

...

that's cool too
we just care about you

....

well...

did ya?

Dream's Recipe

No ponderings will make them true
Nor wishes can conceive
For bringing dreams to life for you
You first have to believe

Not casting spells, nor magic dust
Brings life to all your dreams
Take the initiative, which is a must
And give life to your schemes

To rest on laurels is such a waste
Time should be better spent
Bite from life and take that taste
For that which life is meant

Big Bang Ponderings

If there was no time before the Big Bang
Was there nothing or something other ker-banged
There was no morning, afternoon or night
Before the Universe was put out to endless flight

Concepts that we find are so useful in our lives
Appointments and times schedules will not jive
But in the infinitesimal void of the universe
Who would really care for what it is worse.

Little Shelves in Quiet Minds

Little shelves in quiet minds
Hold unimagined worlds.
Night-time spurs their playtime jaunts.
By dawn, a tale reshelves.

At times, these tales may reappear
To flirt with daytime ponder.
If thoughts of ponder dare to shift,
A soul may act on a wonder.

And Fortune, guide a happy soul,
Who wears the wonder born
Of ponderings from shelf-life jaunts.
They’re rare as a unicorn.

Ponderings

I look around and what do I see
Nothing more or less will be
I look for meaning to it all
And not just pondering my final call

For life moves on all the time
Now and then to pause and entwine
For we can’t live as only one
We touch each other in our run

So I sit and contemplate
What’s in store as I wait
And time’s the master or so it seems
Only hoping the future is not too extreme.

A Literate Interlude

In a stolen moment
of solitude I sit
at the base of my
bookshelf and
surrender to swirling
synaptic symphonies of
Solzhenitsyn

In yet another
purloined pause
I pensively peruse
Poe’s pedantically
petrifying ponderings

I desperately desire
a day to dutifully
devour Dickinson’s
dreamy dirges

Alas
my children call
and I must leave
my literary wonderland
all is not lost
for bedtime is near
and Dr. Seuss awaits

Ponderings

The Geese were milling around
honking incessantly
asking for directions
the swans paced
regal egg sitters
awaiting their shift
the beaver gritted his teeth
soft wood
hard winter
the river sighed
cold water
edged with ice
spring sun
challenged
the grip of winter
log sitting turtles
cheered it on
the osprey eyed
his do it yourself nest
a distant woodpecker
plays
taps at sunset

Ponderings

Who are we if not pieces of the same whole?
We play with pain as if we knew it were a game.
Thoughts define our emotions define our behavior defines our reactions define our personality.
What is passion, but the acceptance of a collective idea, pursued with intense belief.
All that is, was, and ever will be must weather the storm of random attrition to carry some sort of legacy with the human race.
We must embrace evolution or we shall stop.

Blank Black Books

Sometimes, it descends like a warm night breeze
A blanket. At once comforting and disturbing...
The sense knocks. A vague, uneasy membrane just outside of feeling
Too many years, too far along
Too much water under so many bridges
The house changes, transmogrified from cosy fustiness into something altogether sadder
It carries weight, occupies space, colours the green screen
Perhaps we are all just blank black books waiting for an author

stroll beneath His oaks, leaves listening to shadows, waltzing with angels dreaming, dancing, death stirring signs of yearning souls, artists of light, songs music bleeds through minds, erasing the distance, roads leading home, through fear laughing, they let go, tunes of faith, feeling, futures in the eyes of night melodies risking bold reasons for healing, hope lifts silence at last

seeds of faith must grow,
fertile soil germinates faith;
Be that soil of faith:-

We must live our faith...
We must be our faith's heartbeat...
Let's blossom daily...

Faith is for living,
Let's plow rows of faith;
Fruitfully growing:-

N.B.: Amani na upendo;
        Be a spiritual rock,
        Rolling onward in your faith:-

Dig Deeper To Find My Grim Reaper

If you could sneak a peek into my mind,
what confounding things you might find,

for there my darkest ponderings lay awake,
silent now for society's sake,

resting whilst consciousness reigns,
making notes of my Id's complaints,

those unsatisfied urges, those murky thoughts,
those suppressed battles I haven't yet fought,

the graphic conceptions ahead of this age,
searing passion and unbridled rage,

If you saw what I can see,
without a last glance, you would turn and flee from me.
