Strange Ponderings

in the realm of yesterday
I am now but a ghost
a shadow that wandered away
yet another forgotten post
in the reality of the present
I know I'm but an illusion
      a dream that won't relent
      my surroundings mere delusion
therefore my future must be
a story waiting to written
by a delusional ghost
trapped within an illusion

Yesterday is indeed behind us and depending on the outcome, perhaps a wonderful memory or merely a ghost of the past. Love the "trapped in an illusion" Sometimes it certainly does feel that way. Really nice Christy

A unique perspective! I love reading 'the out of the norm' poetry like this. Well done Christy.

Indeed, yesterday is but a ghost flitting through our memory. We can't do anything about it. The only thing we have any control over is NOW. A fine write my friend. Bravo. Well Done. God Bless, JB

Cleverly written. Love rhyme. In all such I like to read the last word in each sentence from top to bottom as a sentence. Sometimes it make a lot of sense Peace Love and Joy.
