Writing Outside the Lines

Frenetic ponderings of a poet!
Some savor the quick and easy,
Sayings and lovely straight lines.

Mine rove serpentine, a wild ride
Through deep dark caves, rich
With pirate’s buried plunder.

This poet’s mind strays to days
Past, present, future - not always
Mine. Follow the treasure map.
