Some Excuse

Silent,Loud,Eternal Poem
Silent.
Like a feather floating to the
ground.
Silent.
Like a candles flame in the wind.
Silent.
Like death.
Loud.
Like thunder.
Loud.
Like sirens on a police car.
Loud.
Like a trumpet, blasting in your
ear.
Eternal.
Like the twinkling stars.
Eternal.
Like A book waiting to be read.
Eternal.
Like night and day.
Silent, loud, eternal....

Stopped By the Law
I am a Taxi Driver
And just pulled up to collect a fare
A young guy came out his house and got in
As I drove off I seen a police car turn around the corner
And after I turned down the next street
I was boxed in by 2 police cars sirens blaring
The next thing i know the guy is being arrested
And I am sat wondering what the hell is going on
Apparently he was seen earlier stealing a car
Not my average day...

It Was One of Those Mornings
"It WAS....One Of Those Mornings"

On my way to work one morning
on a rainy, blustery day,
this fast car ran the stop sign
causing me to swerve and to sway!

When I made the right turn thereafter,
I saw that he didn't get very far,
Mr. " I don't stop for anyone!"
crashed into a police car!

Night Shift
The stars are fading just right
And the darkness is lost to sunlight
You turn the police car into the station
And return your gear with no elation
Then you leave to go home
Another shift has become known
What thoughts to you mull around
As the daylight awakens the town

Will you toss and turn
With no sleep that you have earned
And you will turn up again
As night shift seems not to end.

Prison Sky
last night he staggered and spoke
     through the pall of cigarette smoke;
     frightened guests and touchy gamblers
called the cops after the bouncers;

handcuffed, he looked out the window
     of the police car wailing to go;
     watched the night sceneries flash by
through one swollen, unseeing eye;

now the pale fingers of sunbeam
     slowly limn his morning daydream,
     but a spider web of twigs mars
his view of the sky through prison bars!...
