Pinpointing the Moment
i breathe in the night
and take it all in
the smell of freedom
the taste of letting go
the power of choice
i pause at this junction
of what lies ahead
a fork in the road
a roll of the dice
a vow to never look back
i pause and time
stands ever so still
its silence hovering
its perfume surreal
its girth suspended
i breathe in the night
and take it all in

A Million Chances
At times of darkness hiding hope,
Think of a star and moon to cope
I saw them shining in the sky
Pinpointing, sparkling, to my eye
No night could be too dark above
A crescent moon and star with love
Leading, guiding, reminders now
There will always be light somehow
We wish upon things miles away
Sometimes distracted in the day
By the problems that come our way
We meander through, as we sway
But life with a million chances,
Look again, as it enhances
