  fading traces of yesterday...
     I will watch a sky yield a change of hue
              turning gray from shades of blue

 Let the wind bring seasons new

Nature's roar, to him no more than
The raging theme to peace filled dreams....

Snow taps my face with frosted fingers.
One flake lands on the end of my nose.
Poised, just for a moment, like a tiny ballerina,
it softens into a drop that drips onto my scarf.
The sky is pillowed and gray.
I tip my head back to watch a million feathered flecks
cascade from heaven—
the breath of angels
who hover close,
keeping watch over my wintery world....

To succumb to such a powerful beast
Is like the victim sailor to the siren’s song.

hazel brown eyes that seduce
virgin dawn to a zenith crescendo
and the release of primordial seeds.

Sultry afternoons' oppressive heat
moves to a twilight mauve
with disquieting regularity.

Too soon, as the canopy of blackness
enfolds an amorphous tomorrow
under this celestial vault,
an anguished groan erupts
from the soft pillowed mouth....

in  bubbling  chatter of  birds  and bees
breezing by morning glories in praise of first sky.
As paling stars fall silent in sleep beyond a darkened moon,
I admire the miraculous birth of new day perfected by God's hands.

     and sleepy fields in heather hue.
She paints lemon-colored skies,
     and splashes rose-kissed colors through
     then sprinkles drops of crystal dew.
With crimson touch, sky becomes day.
Dawn's dazzle done, she slips away
     to rest her head on pillowed skies.
and finds, beyond brilliant display,
     a quiet peace where beauty lies.
