Invented Truth
My imagination is sharper than my memory
I make up instead of retelling a story
If I can't recall truth; more often than not
I recreate and invent it
Pessimists call it lying
I don't give names...

Premium Member Facing Life
Some seek—and find--the brighter side of life;
we call these smiling people optimists.
Some only see the bad. These pessimists
are grim, defeatist, and quite often PISSED!

Whoosh Goes the Eyelash
A baby girl cant seem to make out the strand she picked off her chin is an eyelash or a
nostril hair? To wish or not to wish?

...Optimists will say 'wish'. Pessimists will say 'whatever the hell!' ...

I will say:

Tear a nostril hair and an eyelash, compare, the one with least error in
magnitude...consider that one!...

Slippery Paths
The days are getting longer;
The sun is slow to set.
Frustration’s getting stronger
That this isn’t over yet.

The optimists are quoting
Outlooks for a better spring
But the pessimists are noting
That we don’t know anything.

The winter’s far from over;
There’ll be frigid days ahead.
Before we’re all in clover
There’ll be slippery paths to tread....

Sean Green Celebration
Today Sean Green got
     some hits
All we Jews are(or should be) kvelling
over this
Jews should join in
on the "Field of Dreams"
Because as in that terrific movie
Light will shine down
         on us
only if we put in effort
Despite what the pessimists
say
    A more hopeful
future is on the way

note: "kvelling "is Yiddish for "taking pride in"...

The 1 Percent
if ninety nine souls say you’re great
why concentrate on the one that hates?
all your precious energy gone
defending yourself against a wrong

complete and utter waste of time;
there will ALWAYS be one
it’s nothing you’ve done
they will hate for the sake

redirect your life beam
towards positive souls
those that you love
and significant ones

don’t give the pessimists
the power to engulf
your world as you know it
in a negative glow...

Disillusioned
While living a life in seclusion
Some folks may react in confusion
When speaking with those,
Far more brave, I suppose,
Who have plans for a Covid conclusion.

The optimists feel the inclusion
Of travel plans, like a transfusion,
Will fill them with hope
And will help them to cope
But it’s possible that’s a delusion.

We pessimists think the collusion
Of those who fight Fauci’s “intrusion”
Will keep us in chains
Until all the remains
Of what’s “normal” is just an illusion....
