I stand in the midst with a cold vacant hole

I let it soak in

Where has she come from
With softness and power

The banks can't hold her

Satin petals
Pure as angels gowns
Fresh from bloom
Open shyly
Reign majestically
Atop willowy stems
Seducing the eye
Inviting the touch
Fragrant notes
Subtle bouquet
Tease the mind
Permeate our soul
Delight our senses
Celebrate the rose
My existence is shadowed by a tormented soul
Where light of hope is unable to permeate
My being, my actions, they’re all out of control
The spiral of wonder runs fast through my thoughts
As the darkness of life falls violently on
Wishing, praying that some hope can be caught
