My husband claps.
I clap.
Her one trick.
She is the only baby who still lives with us.

Wind untamed, wild and cruel,
Invisible strength.
Leaves swirl, dance, and spin,

Ever notice, that those most vocal
About the perils of having money,
Are those who haven’t any?
It’s all in keeping it in the proper perspective!
You can control it, or it will control you.
We rhyme with wonder,
add aroma to art;
build with pen and pad.
We wield wealthy words
and give them wide wings.
We are nothing
but pencils in
the hands of he
who owns our heart.
In pains and
perils, in
peace and war,
we sail.
We are
poets
Sirens in more than one direction.
First responders
My soul quiets as I listen
They seem close then further away
As they leave I feel my breath leaving
And I realize I have been holding it.
