Question To Reality
Given faith robbed of truth
or blessed with shortsight cursed with hope
Which side of this coin are we
enraptured in belief dismayed in perfidy?...

Thin Veils of Pretence
Pretence at sacrifice concealed in a translucent veil as inverted altruism soon comes unstuck as its perfidy wears thinner and thinner to engender amazement, bewilderment, embarrassment and bemusement.

Shunt aside gifts to the
ego you flatter day and
night to blight your own life....

Premium Member Seeking a Haven
Cloudy sky hovers with thick humidity Finches and jays are seeking a haven Against the summer weather’s perfidy Seems the sun threatens ever fervidly While the small critters scrounge avidly Heat provoking them to be more craven A cloudy sky hovers over thick humidity Finches and jays are seeking a haven.

Id
I have dreamt of change
Of something more
I dabble in activities but all seem a chore
A daydreamer of conveyance
Wistful of the misshapen course of our lives
Persona non grata
Ambivalent to the world, trapped in eternity
Thoughts hammer at my core
Cloudless eyes perfidy my truth
What sound do thoughts make
An onomatopoetic poet clanging and clashing around in his own head....

An Explanation For the Decimation
We may have had none, one, two, or more
Intricate mistakes we quell to adore
Unconsciously transcending perfidy from the heart
Counterfeit penitent that epitomizes the start
Remiss to the love that ensure no art
Mad that it happened, we wish it never did
We tried to intact the emotions that we hid
Until we hackneyed three words for bid
“I love you” manifest the aspersion for real
When the heart cajoled its life to kill...

The Vinaceous Valentine 1956 As Remembered: by Tom 2-24-2020 Nothing hurt more than perfidy of this friend, I can still hear her words, “you are so uncouth.” but it didn’t take too long for my heart to mend, what rendered the pain, was that it wasn’t the truth. How refined could either be at age sixteen not old enough to avoid a tongue twister. Though I still thought of her as my beauty queen I proceeded to see her younger sister.

The Falsity
I felt the sugar on your lip,
Not the venom in your heart,
At last struck me like a dart
My heart you managed to rip.

I’m numb, a little meek,
Not passive as you feel.
I just want to heal,
Payback I do not seek.

Your sedition came out of the blue,
Willy veiled in my dearest faith,
Forced me see my own wraith,
I just wish I knew; you were never true.

I tried to cushion the blow,
Blamed me for your perfidy.
That was my tragedy,
I hope my pain you will never know....
