In a pod not a boat
but pry yellow tee flags

red
did he say pea green
almost there
to the 8th
a couple more to the
forces of evil disappear

Luna
light pea green
flies to the light
nightly visitor
enormously large wings
circling brilliant streetlight
especially active in May
found between midnight and two o’clock

Balderdash

"balderdash"

there once was a man named Lear
it can be said it can't be quite clear

if none of the nonsense he wrote
would in a pea-green boat float

but he wasn't King or Norman
that's q*eer

attracted to light
landing on my porch
delighting faeries
not a damselfly
not a firefly

from the near woods
child of the night
a dainty wisp
just visiting

something lithe
something light
mystical

Analytical Green

Analytical Green
Is Putrid
Spent to fast
Gained too slow
Maybe it's Olive
Or seafoam green
No matter the color
It is our uprising
Into a vast dominion
Of analytical green
Pea green
Just like vomit
The things that make
Us puke
The things we gain
To lose
Emerald like the
Eyes on the back
Of a dollar bill

Pink Joy

My lines are kind of groovy
And my hair is pink
My stick is rainbow coloured
And my boots are green
Punk rock my favourite listening
There is magic in the air
All these silly things don't matter
That beset my brain
I want sparkles in my fizzy drinks
And beauty to entrance me
As I push my little pea-green boat
Out to an excited sea.

WITH CATS IT’S SECRET

stays on fingertips
the softness as though rubbed off
a quiet presence

the expectation
in her simple meowing
and i understand

the dog is open
not so the domestic cat
so still and secret

in that pea green boat
the owl and the pussy cat
at sea with secrets

kitty cat has been
to london to see the queen
what did he there?
