Next thing you know: "Death Panels"!

The Old Fisherman Got a New Truck
The Old Fisherman got a new truck.

A cranberry Chevy.

The people who sell his face

gave it to him.

It replaces the old Ford

with wood side panels

which hold back the barrels,

his catch....

Breaking Time
Where is forever in the mind's dust of rust?
Through my hands, nails from a lonely past.
I have broken the fog
and the rainbow kept the prince.
On the glass, panels lit midnight's clouds.
Leaves flutter with time.
Like a kiss....

Tats
With a tattoo of Dallas on one breast
She decided she wanted another
After a while she made a decision
To get a tattoo of Paris on the other!

A few weeks later at the Mardi gras
With no help from panels or committees
She decided to rip off her blouse
And show everybody her cities!...

Disregard gas

Disregard solar panels
Disregard electricity

Forget wifi
Forget electronics
Forget iPones
Forget laptops

If only we could find

a way to saddle
the children vitality

we’d be comfortable

forever.

My name is etched
On Insight Lander
On Martian soil
It waits for me
To be where gravity is low
So be careful where you go
Mars’ atmosphere has little air
So beware
My name’s still etched
On Insight Lander
Along with miliions
Who like me dream
If we can get to you
Insight Lander
Your solar panels
We’ll surely clean

Waiting
I sat there beside my Mom,

asleep on yellowed pillows, stained

by years of tobacco, tar dripping

from cypress wood panels,

her shallow breaths

cotton-candy hair, light grey;

bluest blue eyes behind

paper-thin lids, moving;

ragged cough, portending

but I didn't understand then,

I was just happy to be there....

Numbers Poem 3
Between the glossy panels of my mind
Thoughts of love children
Puking inside their mother’s wombs
Travel back and forth and back and forth.
What makes you think it is alright to discard my
Mental capabilities as trifle
Emotional walls which you would rather stray
Graffiti paint on to camouflage as curtains
of the bedroom the night before and after a hot spell?...

Thunderstorm
Azure panels fade; shed golden mane
Black, celestial portents mail links chain
Windows of heaven shaded darker strain
Foggy panes availing beams do disdain
Billowing, gray folds gilded tapestry doth stain
Burgeoning spouts brackish bile to drain
Reverberating drums strike dolesome refrain
Streaking bolts o'er tumult wax then wane
An eerie whistle howls announcing the careening train...

Dead Nature Or Unnatural Death
Road span of knots,
panels off line,
concrete of slopes,
signs every mile.

Dogged heart beats,
all here in haste,
tense nerves of streets,
the last – the first,

Wheel marks of brake,
air petrol fume,
black traces fade,
combustion doom.

Wrong pulse on earth,
neurons at odds,
no cares on death,
tired soul of clots....

some such as fireflies glow...but for humans...consciousness is a crack
for light to flow in

bodies are chemical batteries
and
neural network fractal sensory systems
that
exist in earths magnetic and suns energy fields
as
solar panels with on-off switches
to
wake as light or sleep as dark
states
called conscious or unconscious
that
we might navigate minds full of thoughts

Yuppie Dragons and Paper Mountains
Climb mountains!
Slay Dragons!
That's what I did
When I was a kid
Now it's too much
All this grownup stuff
Amalgamations
Corporations
Business-like murder
          under the guise of merger
Micro-second chattel battles
          waged on computer panels
Flash before my eyes
In a plate glass high-rise

Now

all my mountains are made of paper, and
all my dragons wear ties...

The designer created the most beautiful bookmobile ever seen.
It was created out of stained-glass panels of every hue and sheen.
We wondered if vandals would get it, for it was a target every day.
In Indianapolis, it has been delivering books to schools along the way.
Happy we are to report that no one has injured it, for it is a beauty.
I think the readers are protecting it, thinking it is their sacred duty....

Mill
The old mill hardly turns in the fall breeze
Oak panels close to retirement's ease

Creak like grandpa's knees in the winter chill
You don't know if the wind won't visit, still

Stagnant like water after the snow
Even the rivers can change with time's flow

Yet, the oak mill cannot become a tree
Just as a stone does not become the sea

Trees around the mill continue to turn
Beyond the year the mill finally stands firm...

Ode To My Cloud
O distantly mean cloud!

Don't you see?

Don't you gather?

The weather is angry

and freaking out ..

I look out for you

and for myself

while you keep running

from me and fade out ..

O sole cloud!

Without you,

This earth is full of thorns

and the panels of my cottage

are sad and dark ..

Don't be like this false world

To hypocrites appealing

giving them fake crops ..

and to good folks

making a waste land .....
