Why so,
In life's pageant,
Some seek,yet come unstuck-
Whilst others from misfortune pluck
triumph.

Lost Her Lash

Lovely Linda loved her lashes.
Batted them in pageant sashes.
With a cig in her mouth.
Until one lash fell south.
Then that lash went up in ashes.

The Miss Universe Scam

The Miss Universe pageant should be mirth,
it is a scam for all that it’s worth,
now this can’t be denied;
it can’t be justified,
‘cause all the winners are here from Earth.

Grandma's Beard

Grandma's Beard

Once the great grandma had beard;
But the goat had a kick for her beard.
For a pageant he hired it one day
And never returned.
Look, he wears it till today!

She's a farmer's daughter
She's a tractor driver
She's a scholar in the school
She's a taekwondo belter
She's a writer, cartoonist
She's a beauty pageant winner
She's a good cook
She's a dog lover
She's a chess player
She's run out of beauty.

Mother of God

And Oh, how credulous'
     A mother must be
With all that devotion
             Pure love
And responsibility
       The everlasting
Queen of Queens'
A pageant with in my
       Heart,
And with the strength
         Of God,
You are my only heart

No Dirges, Please

Sing me no mournful dirges--
No funeral hymns of morbid night.
But sing me anthems of the morning--
Of new beginnings, dawning bright.

Do not rain upon my pageant--
Bring out the rainbow tinted sky.
There’s time enough for dark and dismal,
Let's bask in sunshine, till we die.

A-n ideal kind of beauty
M-aintains inner impact;

I-deal kind of beauty
L-ets itself silently talk
A-bout the hidden charm,
G-reater than a pageant walk.

October Morn

Gilded streams tapestry weave
Frothy dew doth pageant aggrieve
Brimming bough wrapped in embroidered sleeve
Withering grass to the denuded soil doth cleave
Translucent sickles glimmer on each availing eve
Bristling ice pelets bleary-eyed cisterns do heave
Mercurial splendor doth summer's monotony relieve
Chilled masses do body's warm circulation deceive

Showstopper

In pageant of stars, a showstopper shines
palisaded halo, a bashful yellow reclines
a nocturnal goddess, daemon wind whines
companionless beauty, no orbit in twines.

Pride

No one has that voluble to alter my thought
Towards the confines of the mortal world
When the futile began to repent for being guilt
Despite they vitiate their counterpane to proud

I've now siezed all the majestic course
To pageant and impart all the morals
Homage is what I'll do to be gratifying pride
And defeat all that dense over their depressions

Premium Member The November Sun

A December sun summons Winter's freeze, but a November sun shares its golden rays. And upon a canvas of leaves, paints the trees, as longer nights encroach upon shorter days. Nature dips Her brush in the November sun and transforms the landscape before Autumn's done. Fall's changing leaves are a magnificent sight, a pageant of color before Winter's white.

Cock Fight

Proudly those cocks prance
Circling the other in dance
Crassly they peck then strut
Sharp in beck and detract

Tilting their heads in study
Shrewdly they're each ready
Smooth and certain they deflect
No moment of regret to reflect

They hide greater feelings of pain
And show no anguish, only disdain
Colorful feathers bloody the street
But nothing would stop this pageant

Justina For Beauty Queen

Is that not High School Justina:
The Elder Sister of Tina?
So, why us she is getting leaner,?
Praying and fasting like Lena?
Or modeling like Martina:
Body reshaping to turn winner?
Now the craving of A Pageant
Wanting to life make pleasant...

So, she's dumping scholarship
For on - stage applause and worship?
God, help Day - Dreaming Justina
And not count her Rebel sinner...

Poet and Beauty Pageant

A writer , a poet can be a model as well..
If she has determination and love too..
A poet or songwriter can't succeed in beauty pageant ..
Yeah I am thankful there is no such a rule..
A poet can decorate beauty pageant with physical style and beautiful words. .
And that combination remains forever...
If a poet gets company of inspiring persons like you than she she can do even in beauty glamour.

Rebel Yell

In the sunken hollow a gray mass
addles
A silhouette of swaying muskets
shadows
Braying horses the silent vigil
rattles
A curdling breeze across feted
expanse prattles

The stilled pageant concludes with
the order, "charge"
From sheltering tree line, a
disheveled mass doth barge
A shrieking, cacophonous chorus
christens the onslaught
Menacing octave wafts;
Union, tidal waves to
distraught
war
