Oxy-Moron
Drowning in oxygen,
Freezing burns,
Tight space,
Why is this all weirdly normal?
Everyone is clearly confused
Because suffering silently,
Obsessive love,
Slowing plummeting
Isn’t to you acting normal?
I’m rejecting humanities contradictions
We become oxymorons...

The Physics of Poetry
Robots reason
people think
in counterfactual oxymorons

The equal sign
ironic still
in anti-literal contradiction

A=B
B=C
but D won’t link without reflection

Zero-Sum
with nothing totaled
nondescript—the grand ligation

(Rosemont Pennsylvania: May, 2022)...

Nights Infusion
Nights infusion
bleary eyed rivals
in Soho tweed
Pharaohs joke was here
Denim clad oxymorons
with spotlight eyes
Archways lean close
as sticks befuddle
their spark of epiphany
A jewelled silence
captures the gangsters in silhouette
Freaks five a penny
prolapse the night...

Premium Member Oxymoron Advice
Oxymorons are cynical and fun.
Be careful though if you want to use one.
If it is familiar, it may sound quite trite.
Which murders your poem with a harsh bite.

Deafening silence is way overdone.
Boisterously shy is a good one though, hon

Premium Member Playing With O This Morning
Oceanic octopus south of the border
Eight elongated tentacles in a ripe order
An organic obstacle to outrageous pirate queens.
Housing grizzly omnivores and oily other things.

Overwhelmingly ostentatious in the oceanic sea.
Oxymorons galore; floating in Earl Gray’s English tea.
Brown oxidized treasure chests gliding in the water.
Oriental spaceships spelling out watch out daughter....

Awfully Nice- Oxymoron Contest
she had a smile upon her face
people wondered what secret she had inside
she had kissed and cuddled shyness no trace
does that make me nearly pregnant she cried

people said of her she was awfully nice
trusting everyone without fears
every body's friend, sadness no trace

oxymorons used. 1). nearly pregnant. and 2). awfully nice.

Them
THEM

Two walking contradictions
To stubborn to bend on their convictions
Both lost, but both know the way
Both closing their eyes
As they pass each other by
Causing fate to hang it's head and cry
The invasion of the lonely
Makes them ignorant of their rarity
Both walking oxymorons
He, the calming chaos,
Her, the beautiful mess
As they drift in the sea of nothingness
Failing to realize they are so much more,  no so much less...
