A Martian came down on my lawn
One overcast, wet, windy morn
I said oh my golly

But when I got back he was gawn

Sitting with the dog
A paper on my knee,
Sun,
Sky,
Land,
Wind.
The cold of Winter
They overcast.
That night a clear view
Of a just half Moon.

Prayerology

A mind overcast with doubts,
A fervent prayer to dispel them.

A noise of inward madness,
A mute prayer to pacify it.

A denial of the mundane self,
A congregational prayer to hasten the advent.

The Gloom Before the Light

Seeming atmosphere of

Cosmic indifference:

overcast blank sky

meets the wintry forest

and the trees:

pervasive and tangled,

wet black boughs

drip drops of rain,

tragic, bitter tears.

Winter morning - overcast skies again with

little hope of seeing the sunshine brightly

April Surprise

Frigid air blows strong.
Rain falls, cold to the skin
Overcast skies predict
Leaves try to flee their teathers.
Skin bumps to prepare for the next icy blast
I was under the false impression it was spring!

Overcast

Sunbeam skies be too bright
Total wee hours, spell too plenty light
Every sunshiny days, overmuch a pain
Need be clouds and rain
Dropping the curtain, days to see
Breathtaking, splendor of life's tap·es·try
