The Spotlight
Crowded operas
with anticipation
and such extremities
without disdain.

Flavorless is
your consolation
prize, invisible
somehow tangible

And approaching....

it’s been a very long and lonely quarantine
It’s allowed me the time
to write four great operas
two great symphonies
paint three masterpieces and
actually write one fictitious six line ditty...

Soup Opera
I wonder why they call them "Soup-Operas"?
they never promote any soup...
and if the soup was to be in the story line...
well their writer, well he must say "oopp!"
it's one of many serious wonders,
that plays upon my mind,
I guess you can truely say than,
I've finally really become the mentally deficient kind!...

oh gee he is a bundle
of dog as i have the same brindle coat
on a mantel they remind me what it took
of my life to make them gentle to the world
and futon come handy as we listen to operas
and with my I camera should I show the peace
or the war the cat hiding as I told her will be ok
just give a day or two or adjust and learn or teach...

Silence
Medicant!
Smooth velvet drapes
on a silken skin
Soothing evening operas;
tonic to thirsty tongues.

Tranquil!
Calm as sea breeze
Soporific lullaby sung
from the
lips of unseen spirits
Drapes of solitude
Cooing
Whispers of words.

Surreal!
Enternity-still nights in
silent neighborhoods
Coy coiling coils
Seeping stillness
  Silence!...

Life in Indigo Mood The gray cat’s a drowsy pet, during days of blue violet. Noon sun rays fill beige rooms, hastening A-bomb dooms. Patent leather rules on Sundays. Clothes are crucified on Mondays. Premium Member A Little Cat
a tiny white showed up today a big stain of grey on her back
she looked at me and asked where is the food today
as my good departed cat show it the trick of beg
and let me know what I should do
bolt to the stoops every morning with food I provided
should the bowl reappears in my life or should I close my eyes
undecided I listen to operas and a tune I sing hit the road jack
and come back no more...

Why Do I Write
WHY DO I WRITE ?

For there is nothing else I can do
For I like the taste of ink on my palm
For my lady prefers soap operas
In the cloudy nights
For the clock is still humming a tune
 That has lost its denture
In the immigration office
For there is no other thing I can do at all
I am writing right now
And because I have no time left to read the headlines
Before I go to bed
To share nights with the pillow in red...
