In a random survey, working class
Americans were asked:
What occupations they thought the worst.
These three were singled out: the first
embalmers, the second dentists
the third, the most obviass, proctologists.

As a child, I dreamt of occupations
that would take me to the moon,
deepest of the oceans, and most hidden
places in the mind.
Today, I am all I wanted to be as a child.
All the character that I have jotted down
in my stories are my representation.

There's a huge difference
In skill and age
One person has multiple jobs
Faster than young people
The curved body is caused
By the profession
Feeling so much concerned
As you age, the physical distress
Caused by many occupations
Follows step by step
There's always price to lose.

Surmising they are right and never wrong.
Confidence in what they do makes them strong.
Opportunistic with whatever comes along.
Rectifying anything that may go wrong.
Perspicacious judgment in all that they see.
Insight into all eliminates any mystery.
Occupations produce goods and services with quality.

Occupations are not
all useful, like when Sisyphus rolls
and nobody cares. Even Camus
can’t justify my love
of quantum or calculus, when it’s burn-lonely
rolling out the integrals: I integrate
myself into a human
-ist Existentialist here’s the point -ist
theory of why I am why I am
and when I differentiate my parents
chide me. I gather the pieces again.

ah yes...air time
passed through a couple of tight spots
recently with respect mental occupations
and due to that work load the light at the end
of the tunnel was temporarily switched off
but today everything will once more begin again
to make perfect sense as since i learn so much
from my mistakes i'm always thinking to make a few more
that's fate and you've gotta love it
stan sand
