I Wish

I made a wish
Upon the North Star
All my wishes
Came from a far
I wish one day
To live in space
Until the world
Becomes a better place

The Ransom Note

At the edge of
The North Star,
We bound and tied
The hands of love
Tainted stars
Fill this sky, above
Where is the
Ransom note
For love

Premium Member Who am I

Knowing not who in truth we are,
rudderless we’ve drifted afar,
yet anytime we may reclaim
inner light as soul’s claim to fame,
shining brightly like the North Star.

Cynosure

Stars, sky lights, mark the way like the dog's tail of the Lesser Bear; cynosure's flag, the North Star, sea dogs' eyes.

There once was a married cosmonaut
Who out in Space did what he shouldn't ought--
   Kissed a pretty Mars bar
Made love to the North Star--
Sex with a slattern from Saturn he bought

Ode To the Seafarer's Wife

My heart shall travel far
End to end where rainbows meet
Skywards the North Star
Beckoning the waves to glide
Quickly to come home
To thy warm, sweet embrace
And your bright summer kisses

You Are

You are my North Star, my shining light. You are my lungs, you are my spine. You are my chocolate, you are my wine. My friend, my woman, my wife for life. (dedicated to Barbara)

Whatever Makes You Happy

smell the roses once in a while
fall in love a couple of times
live your life with generosity
never lose your awe
find your true North Star
be as brave as the Lion
paint, write, sing,
do whatever makes you happy

Direction

There was
a compass rose
and a north star
when i begin my path
neither lead me to you

then i looked
inside my heart
and ask my self
where were you

and upon the question
there was you under my eyez
what a blessing

Stars

Stars...
You are a part of the solar system
You are always in the sky
On top of the world
You are the light
The most beautiful thing
There are millions of you
One is the Big Dipper
One is the North Star
But they are all
Stars...

Tsunami

Be the wave that strengthens the ocean
crash wildly into the sea of knowledge
let adversities drown in your victories
let education be your north star
keep your courage when the tide is high
and keep swimming till you reach the shore

Premium Member The Guiding Light

Ever have I seen the light

It guides me on my way

Like a torch on a moonless night

Like the dawn of coming day

Like the North Star shining bright

Like a lighthouse on the shore

Oh praise thee thy guiding light

That shines forever more

With no agenda on our shelf,
rest in effulgence of the Self,
for that in truth is who we are,
radiating light from itself.

Brighter than sun and the North Star,
within our heart’s core, not afar,
is divine light that lights all lights,
erasing every karmic scar.

If the sea becomes angry, head for land.
Sleep under a trampoline and driftwood hut.
Want becomes meaningless; paramount is need.
The North Star keeps the blackening sky aloft.
Gale force and rogues are on their night walk about.
God and sleep cannot come soon enough.

Premium Member My Star

In my darkest hour
You shone the brightest
My North Star to the Moon
A beacon of unrelenting
Strength and light
And even when the boat
Was lost and sinking
You remained effervescent
An illuminated brilliance
That no darkness could squash
You are the light in my soul

As we become the light we are In truth, nothing has changed Though clouds veil from sight, the North Star Sky’s not been rearranged Simply ceasing to sway Holding fear forms at bay Know the truth, clear as day Feel bliss beats hum As we become

Silhoutte

I WAS ALWAYS YOUR REFLECTION
NOW I'M JUST A MIRAGE YOU SEE IN A MIRROR
OUR LOVE HAS VANISHED, YOU'RE A MIRAGE OF MY SHADOW
LOST AND BURIED, COULD NEVER BE FOUND
WE JUST TWO GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS PAST

DISAPPEARING OF A FALLEN NORTH STAR
SILHOUTTE THE BLEMISHES OF MY FACE,
SPAWLED FROM THE ELISPE OF THE SUN

Grandfather

Grave is where you lie
Remembering who you are
Attributes you instilled in me, guided fleets
North Star

Dedicated soldier
Fought in World War II
Agonizing pain from cancer
Tried to hold on to you

Home back to God you went
Eternally peaceful as can be
Respectfully loving all you were for me

North Star

Of which
the moral
he never found
That allegory was she
Sing to a fine tune,
he could never
That ballad was she
Taking pride
In a deaf audience
that sitar,
that shehnai was she
Writ in a language
He knew not
That manuscript was she
She was the North Star,
He a blind, lost traveler

Ego has it's say,
darkening the day,
so watch from afar
like yonder North Star.

As God’s living light,
how’d we feel the plight
of organic form,
caught in earth life's storm?

Let's celebrate life
with it's stress and strife,
being our soul's chance,
to grow while we dance.

Wrong Places

I Flew in the Afternoon Skies
Looking for North Star.
I Swam across the Oceans
Mistaking Submarines for Whales.

I Followed a Random Road,
To a Dead End.
I Ran through the Woods,
Looking for an Iceberg.

And Today, I Realised..
I'm Lost, All My Life.
Chasing the Wrong Things at
Wrong Time and Inappropriate Places.

North Star

I wished upon a shooting star...
For the perfect man...
But like that shooting star...
The perfect man lost his glow...
And died...
So now I turn to the ever faithful north star...
And wish the same thing...
Because like the north star...
The perfect man will always be there...
Forever shining and glowing...
All for me...

Hundred Different Reasons

She is
As steadfast as
The North Star
Unchanging in her
Passion and devotion
Her obsession
With him
Despite unwelcome circumstances
Never getting dim
Her regality
Her ravishing beauty
Her honest core
Her always wanting more
Any wonder then
That there are
Hundred different reasons
To love
The woman for all seasons
