IMAGERY EXPRESSION
mundane crisp and misty morning
New York coffee, cream cheese bagels
art gallery—comforting warm abandonment
I want to stay in dreamland
Where dreams and poetry prevail
Over the mundane worries of reality
To where exotic flowers run wild

Overcomes the mundane lives we lead~Brittany Larson
For Linda-Marie The Sweetheart of P.S. Contest-"Quote Me"
I was looking at the sky
and I saw something fly by
it was not a bird, it was not a drop of rain,
it was a butterfly flying around mundane.
Companions, let's live for happiness,
not for the judgment of the mundane world
I'm content thus, living without
trying to impress others... !
Poetry…
arresting the mundane
acquitting the spirit
Convicting
all redundancy
—freeing the truth
(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2019)
Mundane cells not immune to death
Upon exhale of final breath,
Tenuous trails towards the past,
Luminous legacy to last.

Sadness in her eyes,
betrays the camouflage donned,
of mundane idle banter.
There’s a sacredness,
respected at such moments,
holding hands, entwining hearts.
Linger awhile
To marvel
At the
Winged masterpiece
Flitting from
Flower to
Flower.
In its
Brief life
It will
Adorn the
Blank Canvas
Of countless
Mundane lives
Trifles of
frivolity
& intrigue-
ensemble of
the esoteric,
gravitate
with audacity,
replicate
the mundane
in complex
transpositions
The surroundings I see each day are lame.
It is so boring when everything looks the same.
My environment has to be slowly killing me.
I am in dire need of a change of scenery.
Sometimes I forget myself
I think this is normal, mundane even
And then I come to my senses again
I remember that it’s astonishing and bizarre
Oblivion is the norm

your chickpea skin
my willing mouth
the mundane things
we talk about
your shadowed eyes
my bright despair
your barbered mane
my tussled hair
four confused hands
touch in the rain
Oh Philip!
Queen Elizabeth, long may she reign,
Is the Head of substantial terrain.
She married a prince
Whose gaffes make her wince
But life's certainly never mundane!

Much Trump business is both mundane and plain;
Has hair that becomes a big mess while in rain;
Up people he riles;
T for Trouble dials;
Common sense lacks any not having a grain.

Aging
By Miracle Man

Dwell not on mundane tasks, that due to age, are no longer allowed,
but thank God for life’s accomplishments, that your age has endowed.
Our spirits sing
when sweet tunes echo in the brain.
Our spirits sing
from the joy soulful lyrics bring.
Great music does not grow mundane.
May harmony forever reign.
Our spirits sing!
neither great nor small
steady as she goes
commonplace
unremarkable
a good sort
uneventful

Lost in life’s mundane,
A man moans: can one explain
To me life’s meaning?
Till you play well this inning,
You’ll keep asking for meaning.

Tanka |07.06.2023| life
entrapped by the agonies of the life
astraying in the bewilderment of world
hunting for trustee for my heart
the broken heart voiced from inside
in the mundane existence, no one is worthy of trust
Free yourself from the manacles of food and drink
Accede with God for a holy covenant
Silence yourself away from the mundane to pray and unthink
Temperance is paramount in this divine moment
A mind overcast with doubts,
A fervent prayer to dispel them.
A noise of inward madness,
A mute prayer to pacify it.
A denial of the mundane self,
A congregational prayer to hasten the advent.
