pain

Pierced through the apex
Emotion motioned to motive
Aligned with hate
the virtue of anger
condoning the blatancy of a shelly fate.

In the Daze of the Dance Craze

I’d never seen a Fox Trot
      nor a Jittery Bug
   Though whenever I’d Twist
      in agony I’d Shout

But when a Hully became a Gully
and Monsters like Potatoes were Mashed
This Jerk got on his Pony ~
and Loco Motioned those Stoned Phonies

Green Eyes Like Diamonds

A tiny black kitten mewed at me
  Green eyes like diamonds sparkling
I motioned 'Come here;' she jumped in my arms
Yet in the morning she'd clean disappeared

I 'Here-kitty-kittied' up and down all the streets
Hoping against hope, my pretty kitty to meet
But instead of 'mew-mew,' there was 'bow-wow' and 'ruff-ruff'
~ For my tiny kitty I cried... I think I've told you enough

One Last Favor

An old Irishman was on his deathbed
He was nearly at the end.
He had one final wish to be granted
so he motioned to Patty, his friend.

"Patty, I need one last favor".
"Just ask me", was Patty's reply.
"Find me bottle of the best Irish whiskey",
he said with a tear in his eye.

"When I'm gone, please pour it over me grave,
just in case I have me a thirst"!
Patty agreed, then sheepishly asked,
"Could I run it through me kidneys first"?

Gestures

It was the work of her hands
that gave flesh to her speech;
her persona made vocal.
Gestures were needle-point,
stitching words into sound.
She talked with the eloquence
of quick speaking fingers,
with hands that emphasized,
underlined, swept away, challenged,
motioned, mentioned,
mollified, mimed, beckoned,
warned and added warmth to her words.
Her hands sewing and patching together
articulations for
the far-sighted and for muted ears.

Beautiful

Through the rear door she entered
Though noticing pretended he not to have
With crispy steps her way she found
To a chair next to his

"Who is she?"...his heart searched

A pen in one hand
Admiration concealed
Emotions controlled
His name on printed paper down he wrote
Introduction..."thats my name"
He motioned
Next to his she jotted her's
Beautiful as she so also was her name
"I wish she was mine to tame"
He thought

For then I will call her everyday...
"Beautiful!"
