Sniper
Mortally wounded,
a soldier writhes
in pain,

     crawls bloody
     on the bloodied
     earth.

From up a cliff
a sniper takes
aim again

     to finish off a task
     with neither rage
     nor mirth....

Angels and Demons
Angels fly
Upon the magnanimous winds
Singing peace & happy ends;
Inspiring all placid sleeps & even makes Hope joyously weep.

Demons lie
Upon the obsequious night
Screaming agony & evil delight;
Aspiring for ethereal deeps & even makes Fear mortally weak....

Stop This Bloody Rain
we have sinned mortally
he affirmed on our
tortured souls
absinth in my drying throat
forgive us we beg you on
bleeding knuckles and knees
morganatic dreams of submission
heightened voices dramatic gestures
morning trickles into summer
crying birds of sorrow
we slithered in
false prayers
stop this
bloody
rain...

Let us not dwell on things, sad.
For our soft hearts ,'tis mortally bad!

Let us, like a morning birds be
Delighting in God's magnanimity.

Of the decades of blessings let us
kneel in gratitude.

For in truth, gratitude for all, is the
best attitude!

Who claims to be the casualty distorting a mother's right
firstly to be addressed for what it means
begin with the truth it never fails justice

To address mass murder for what choice it claims to be
abortion's the only way to lose one soul mortally dangerous
without mercy takes away every living value
and cardinal right from a child's life...

Ants
Mortally wounded, a soldier writhes in pain,
crawls bloody on the burnt,
bloodied earth.

From up a crag, a sniper takes aim again
to finish off a task
bereft of mirth.

On the ground, ants lug hefty loads around lumps
of seared soil, singed sand and
torched boulder splinters

to build again and again their anthill crushed
by blood-stained boots of the
slain and the slayers!...

I Am a Hero
I’m a teacher today
’Cause I was mortally afraid of the species.
In my dream once, I met a magician
And begged him to turn me into a teacher!
Now I strut up and down the dais
And kids off the dais are all praise
They only don’t know
How ignorant I am
Or what drove me to this calling.
When asked, I should only bluff
And say I was inspired!

To Destroy, To Build
mortally wounded, a soldier writhes,
crawls bloody on the bloodied earth

behind a boulder, a sniper takes aim again
to finish off a task so bereft of mirth

as worker ants lug hefty loads around lumps
                        of earth and boulder splinters

to rebuild an anthill crushed by bloodstained
boots of the slain and the slayers....

FLAT TIRE ROAD
Lying in wait, powdery brown dust hiding hard gray bodies. Jagged stone teeth reaching skyward, hoping to snag rubber prey. The ground trembling mouth opening as prey draws near. Pop! Fangs striking quickly inflicting jagged hole. Mortally wounded prey hissing out its last breath its body deflating. Another victim lost. Why do I continue Driving flat tire road?

Say Sorry To the Broke
Learn to say ‘Sorry’ to who is broke:
Don’t him near to make of it a joke,
Even if you were to him Nice Bloke
Or playfully would his rib-cage poke;
He’s now saddled with burdensome yoke
And easily could in whisky soak.

Remember it’s ‘Sorry’ to The Broke
Rib-cracking it might be leave your joke
The once-tuneful voices, a croak
So Trifling Words - For God’s Sake! - don’t fit
Some in helpless chairs cheerfully sit
But soonest mortally themselves hit!...

Loved and Hated
Those who love the badgered Greek,
His eternal comfort seek,
Had to him killers' plans leak
That they'd take him to some peak
And there his flesh pierce - A Beak,
The Torture to last a week
And leave him mortally weak...
Foes who claim he calls one "freak,"
Never saw in him The Meek,
Wonder why he's in their creek,
Think his voice a bad door's creak
And his breaths of spirits reek...

"They'll beat you too with a stick
Until your life stops to tick!"...
