Words caved in darkness,
Heart, torn apart every time,
I cry without tears.
You adore that sweet flower,
Too bad, I'm just a Moonstone.
(a reply to my poem entitled, "A Moonstone")
You glow with the sun,
You float in the sea of stars,
In darkness, still beautiful.
I will adore you myself,
Even if he never would.
A radiantly brilliant treasure
an opalescent afterglow
left a candescent residue
on my appreciative neck
hours after I had returned her
glorious moonstone face
to my grateful jewelry box
who is honored to house her

For
The love
Of moonstone's
Lucent beauty
A treasured heirloom
Promoting clairvoyance
And intuitive feeling
Hanging on a graceful décolleté
Where its luminescence gently rests
Superlative Victorian Moonstone.
By a beach beset with pearl and jade
And shells the shade of amethyst
The ocean, out of sapphires made
Glimmers through the moonstone mist
When sea and sky are aquamarines
Starfish shine from peridot pools
And like the summer breeze serene
July’s treasures flaunt these jewels.
Dream
sweet plumes
of turquoise
moonstone canvass
as purple cloudburst choirs ear worm skylines
or blue-tailed godwits nail scrape rose quartz mounds
jack-o'-lantern
usher peeps

Equanimity…..
Humanity’s dance of grace.
Deepest smile,writing dreams.
Upon her velvet finger,
Gleams a moonstone ring.
Iced glass of Jasmine tea.
Honoring the warm,melodious,
Whispers of this midnight Spring.
Avantgardistic.

Although I do not know thee well
Won’t you grant a little wish for me?
I can offer this lovely moonstone shell
Faerie Goddess of the Hollow Dell
Come out from beneath that pretty bluebell,
Your cellophane wings I still can see…
Faerie Goddess of the Hollow Dell
Won’t you grant a little wish for me?
She made a champagne cake for my birthday.
It was outrageously gorgeous, made fresh today.
With a moonstone cameo trim on the front and the back.
And succulent strawberries, it was totally on track.
I began to salivate the second I saw this delight.
It made me so happy, it was tasty, lithe, and light.
Soon
Icy drops of dew like diamonds
Crunch beneath summer-sandaled toes.
Trembling trees release their tired jewels
To risk breezes off northern snows.
Topaz, garnet and citrine leaves
Spiral from moonstone blue skies above
Emeralds lose their hot weather hues,
Sparrows cuddle, asleep is the dove

Note: Moonstone and Pearl are both June birthstones.
In a Lanterne, first and last words must be related…in
this case “moonstone”.

With Jasper eyes and crimson lips
Her heart as a receptive stone
Soothing, calming and magnetic
With wisdom direct from mysticism
Her tongue vibrates my soul with sound
Teasing and tickling my heart with love
With Long black moonstone hair
Mesmerizing eyes with just a look
Spellbound I have become
(Fiction, lol)
A glorious glow
reminiscent of moonlight
Translucent in wite
bluish and shiny silver
Special gloss and smooth texture
yesterday I walked home in the rain
and forgot
for thirty minutes
that I was grown up
and in heels, business dressed
and straightened hair,
and remembered
something free
locked into the
sky like moonstone
murky and luminous
a tousled beauty buried
in routines and duties
no umbrella, thirty minutes
a woman in transit
without belonging
tax free.

Pilgrimage
The teddy bear I embrace
The taste of campfire smores I eat
Summer
Moonbeam shines
Parts disguise Parts the skies
Moon Rose the moon rise evening
Pilgrimage
Moonstone science is light on me
Over on and all around me
Autumn Fall Starlight brawls

Written word by James Edward Lee Sr 2019
At Playa Rincon, in Dominican Republic’s sparkling cerulean waters
Among polished white pebbles, blue calcite and moonstone magic
sits larimar, the mermaid stone, the queen of the ocean stones.
Tailsman of adventurers and explorers, larimar empowers you
Enabling you to speak to your waiting, listening heart.
This is how she became and retains the title of queen
Bygone youth carelessly spent
Damaged goods years of torment
Guiltless heart cruelly scarred
Abandoned in junkyard charred
Spent days wasted nights crying
Torment focused on dying
Scarred and marred deep to the bone
Charred wishes on a moonstone

Snips & snails & midnight shadows unaware--
...the soft flesh of wildflowers tremble
in the blistering wind.
Slowly shifting their tattered reflection...
Twilight fire, painted angels
bleeding dreamlessly.
A perfect stranger
melts like a million echoes ground into dust--
Eternity glows like a falling moonstone.
Girl's souls
really are sugar and spice...
Listen to poem:
The vibes emulate the soft blue light,
that soft-shoe dances in a moonstone.
Mellow and resonant, is the vibraphone.
The heart and soul of ethereal percussion blues.
The gentle sound reverberates vibrato,
floating and wafting its mesmerizing melodies
under the hard surface of the moonstone.
Shimmering spells that echo dreams,
and deja vu resonant fantastic fantasies.
pearl-like
but not of the sea
pregnant with opalescence
magic rainbows
depths you cannot plunge
mesmerizing many
At nape of my neck
in pendant form, drawing
oohs and ahs from strangers
Moonstone, shining my truth
and my essence
Announcing me seconds before arrival
Moonstone eyes hardened by life
Full of fight despite tears you cry
You see hate when we see faith
Your time will come be not afraid
Look inside and see destiny
Look outside and find peace
In the storms raging seas
Walk through thick and deep
Cloudy times from evil winds
Know that in time we all sin
Some lessons learned not easy to grow
Be of good faith for God is in control
June Pearl Moon
Pearl of the June night
Shimmering, lustrous gem song,
Sweet strawberry moon
Platinum light drips romance
Magic moonstone - love's delight.
