a dead gum tree burns
alone on the rusted hills
in your jet stream
threading a cerulean course
toward some obscure island
Been five years today
Miss the joy you brought to me
I'll never forget
Those were loving, tender times
Years ago but yesterday
She is the not the target
She has never been.
She is the arrow
Finding direction to the target
