Once a Year
ONCE A YEAR
Christmas comes but once a year;
A blessing I have to say.
My credit cards are maxed out
And now I have to pay

Is almost
Completely maxed.
Things are
Going to
Be in fine shape.
I should
Stay in bed
A while longer.
Resting,
I prefer
To do much more.
Just to give you some more
ideas of my new format.

I do not know?
Delete Me Please
You don’t like my politics, so you are deleting me.
How much more delighted could I possibly be?
I’d try to let you know, but of course, I have been axed.
Which is fine because my Facebook friends are kind of maxed.
You don’t like my religion, so we cannot be friends anymore.
I will miss you all of two seconds it takes to go out that door.

New Year - New You, New Me
Bills, Bills everywhere
It’s now time to pay for all that cheer
But at least it is a New Year
Credit cards are all maxed out
Aghh, I hear you shout out
What was that all about
Resolutions some will say
It helps though if you can pay
Then keep walking on the way
As what you and I say and what we do
Will make the world all anew
So I wish all of you
A Happy New Year
You just need to stay true
Happy 2019

Maxed Out
The blushing beauty doesn’t want to be noticed?
She wears a peacock in her hair...corkscrews,
ringlets, spirals everywhere. Yellow, orange, bluebirds,
hearts exuding happiness. The X’s and O’s
on the lipstick-colored wall exposed.
Her lemon shoulders lift in flirtation.
She’s a punctuation, a flamboyant Mona Lisa.
Put the two gals side by side.
One follows you
but remains in the Louvre crowd.
The other blends in
her pink blush, maxed out.
