Politics and Lunatics Horn Haiku

Politics and Lunatics Horn Haiku

Seems like all the tricks
That people call politics
Are for lunatics.

Cuckoo

Why
Is it that a cuckoo
Is
Locked up in a clock

While
Lunatics with guns
Are
Left to run amuck

Fervent Lunatics

Lunatic fringe
Fervent. zealous
Closed to any other information
Closed to any other possibilities
I prefer spending time with a large poisonous Puff Adder.

Among Mountains and Silhouettes

We are lunatics found in a lunatic box
Sucking on the milk of human honey
Dying as naive children
Playing games in the dark
Among mountains and silhouettes.

Lunacy

Lunatics are people too, although off their bolder Well what's normal, isn't it in the eye of the beholder Lunacy can be fun If not to be overdone I'm a prime example, could be the titleholder

Even Lunatics Need Jobs

No matter where I send you, you return.
The fault lies in my own emotional navigation,
Wasting words and energy for energy's sake.
I hurl you into dead end corners,
So you can climb back into my brain.
All that's left are forced giddy-ups.
So help me check off all my screw-ups.
A job for lunatics.

Fairy Tale

The unwed moon
rowing like a swan on blue lake
after making love to silence.

Dignified shadows
walk on black beach
gathering white heels.

Only lunatics will sing
in shapeless lines.
Who cares for a sequence ?

The milk of love
after the kids, in night
the moon was drinking nonstop.

Lunatics

They sound quite brilliant,

                            The rantings of a madman...

                                                         To those with like minds!

Take Me To a Football Game

Take me to a football game,
For a hot dog and beer kind of date.
When our team scores, I will loudly exclaim,
For a play that was so exciting and great!

When they win the band will loudly play,
And we will scream like lunatics in the stands.
With a victory dance to end the day,
We will proudly leave hand in hand.

Diction Pictures

Things slip away.
  Obeying laws of
  cause and affectation,
  diction pictures words
    as sounds.

Hounds bay at lunatics.
  Sticks and bones
  fillet my stones.
    Millet and rye
    make me cry.

Ground beneath my feet,
  a swaying beat
    repeats
    repeats
    depletes me of my
      funky mood.

Shall we dance?

Snail's Pace

Summer
And the city air tastes like a dream
Mirages above sidewalks at eight a.m
The freeway kicks and screams like a spoiled child
But I won't give in to them
Stress
It is written on so many faces
I'm sorry, but I won't be taking their places
I walk like a snail at a pace where I'm free
While people drive like lunatics
To go home and watch TV

Impatient

Patience is a virtue
Though it’s one that isn’t mine.
I get antsy when I wait
In any kind of line.

I can’t hold my horses
For that leads to agitation,
No matter what the reason
Or surrounding situation.

Type A personality
I think’s the diagnosis.
Ulcers or a heart attack
Is likely the prognosis.

Living in the city, though,
Is where I have to be.
For everywhere I go, I notice
Lunatics like me!

Mental Illness

Mental illness affects one in four
Yet we still close the door

Terms- crazy, mad, lunatics, kooks
Let’s confine to history books

Images of Bedlam and straitjackets distort our minds
Screaming, shadowy old movie kinds

Mental illness is just another disease
Try kindness and understanding please

Sadly we’re stuck in the past
Old prejudice must not last

It’s time to open the door
Isolation, stigma, shame no more

Survive

Pieces of broken finger nails are strewn about the floor

Blood spots covering the wall do i have to tell you more

The pounding of a thousand lunatics screaming in my
Mind.

The darkness of insanity you can easily find.

Searching for some direction to find the way out

So to make someone listen we have to scream and shout

The pain is not visible it is all held within

So we must keep on fighting if we really want to WIN

Late

The lunatics finally did it
And it’s gonna drive us all wild
A man has an x-ray in the NHS
They will ask if he may be with child

Picture the scene, it’s almost obscene
If x-rayed at some later date
They’ll ask if I’m pregnant and I will say, “No…
But, Doctor, I am a bit late.”

The doc’s chin will drop to the floor
The unborn rank high in their fears
He’ll ask me, “How late?” And I’ll calculate…
“It’s something like sixty-five years!”

Give the Earth a Chance

Give The Earth A Chance

The world is ending
So, everybody says
Too many people
Breathing and living
Lunatics take to the street
Yelling and screaming
We have to do something
Yet, they are so, so wrong
The world is not ending
We are not going extinct
And everything will be fine
All you have to do is shut your mouth
Stop all your grandstanding
And give the Earth a chance
It can do more to heal itself
Than you could ever think of doing

Alternative

The horses are irregularly neighing,
They’re fallen out by tired saddles,
Their wings tore off
And run like sinners.

The next day, in the morning,
Were growing trees instead of wings,
And the veins were quietly laughing,
While losing their way among the teeth.

Yet, the horses don’t worry
‘Cause angels died a night before,
And doctor said “Instead of stumps I’ll make
A transplant of wings of lunatics”.
