Lull

whispering city
blaring-chattering fountains
weeping train-tunnels
in prayer, I am taking
the one - thy name: my silence

piano notes
echo through my mind
the melody of love
sweet upon my lips
and in your arms
the waltz of life

Dull Lull Could Compel

Dull Lull Could Compel

We did determine had been dull,
And between each one was a lull;
Asinine;
All mine;
Ended up case of push and pull.

Premium Member Lull Me Sweetly

Your voice is simply so dreamy in Nepali,
Please come here now and serenade me
As I rest, wrapped in your arms tenderly,
Your song lulling me to sleep soothingly.

Premium Member Bird Song Lull

Bird songs are lulling me into a happy state.
Sun on my neck uplifts my confused mood
Sunday serenade, I relax with a heart quake
Kindness in the air nature doth exude.

Lull a Baby

When the moon rises
To light up the night
All of the monsters
Fade out of sight

You can sleep safely
'Til nighttime is through
Mama is watching
And Da Da loves you!

Premium Member Sad Lull In the Meadow

Sad lull in the meadow
All animals felt it
They paused

A morose feeling
Songbirds shuddered
Melodies ceased

Depressed knowing
Something evil was coming
Body dumped that evening

A Winter Lull

On this deep-winter day
Spring decided to play
But I swore it’s not fair,
All this sun and warm air,
For tonight it will leave
And my hopes will then grieve
These lost vernal hours
And chance for new flowers.

Premium Member Lull

Bitter winter.

Thief of warm pleasures.

Looming forever...and a cozy day.

No... please stay!

At least until you've had your say.

In your own frigid way.

Carried in shades of slate.

Against arid blue skyline.

This must be where love hides.

Until the spring thaw for which we opine.

Lull Has No Chance To Take

F-ourth of March Saturday
L-ets the light see the day;
O-pening the morn with warmth,
R-ain and chill fade
A-way.

N-ight shadow and haze
A-re both nowhere in view;
C-old evening wind
I-s fading into the blue.
O-nce the dusk is gone,
N-ew dawn starts to break;
A-iming to thrill your heart,
L-ull has no chance to take.

The Lull

Listening to the gurgles of the whirling waterfall,
Soothed by the serenity of the still silvery streams,
Lulled to sleep by the rustle of pristine palms,
I lay beside you in a perfect paradise.

I seek the lull--
To feel the tranquility of the night
The hush of birds in calm respite
The quiet compose of ancient trees
The muted hymn on dulcet breeze
On quiescent ridge of nocturne quest
Find soothing balm on angel’s breath.
Abeyant mind, free of hurt or qualm
Opens to Christ when faith is strong
Fearfully reached to touch a lightning rod
But found instead, the hand of God.

Premium Member Always on my mind

You are everything I have got
You are always on my mind
Your beautiful face lulls me to sleep nightly
And rescues me mightily
From terrible nightmares
And so I can embrace the world
Every day with a smile
In the midst of gloom and despondency
You inspire me to face the world
With hope and determination
My guardian angel keep watch over me
The world is too scary to traverse all alone

Listen to poem:
*Written by my songwriting mom circa 1950, titled, 'HIS NAME IS JESUS'

There's a name you can call when you're in trouble
There's a name you can call when you're all alone
There's a name full of grace
There's a name to be praised
There's a name in your heart everyday
Je-sus
Je-sus
Jesus the name you can call
That's the name full of grace
That's the name to be praised
That's the name you can call everyday

The One Who Pays the Piper

Pipe me a tune I can dance to
Or play a lament, as of old.
And pipe you a song
Serenely and strong
For then, I will pay you in gold.

Pipe, at the early of morning
Just as the sun forces through.
Then stand you alone
And quaver your tone
For a sovereign, I'll offer to you.

Pipe, at the lull of the evening,
Play you the sweetest refrain.
As darkness is cast
You pipe you your last
For I shall not pay you again.

As evening hangs near, wrapped in silk cashmere It bathes the frontier with godliness dear… Winged robins I hear chanting psalms that steer Moonbeams to appear like glazed lull, revere That my doubt severe washes a cold tear; Abating night’s fear… snuggling heaven’s cheer. ~*~ Rhymers Delight—Internal Rhymes For John Hamilton dated 1.07.2017 Checked: www.howmanysyllables.com

Winter's Lull

The weather changes,
with cool breezes flowing through,
Suddenly everywhere becomes desolate
on cue,

Hints of the holidays hover through the
dismal days,
The excitement builds up,
then gently flitters away,

After the festivities,
it will only be more
bland Autumn days,
with trees standing
as scarecrows do
in the cornfields,
and chimneys burning
to create Currier and Ives scenes,

While emotions feel betwixt and between,
thinking that warm sunshine solves everything.
