Shortest Day Bright
On Shortest Day bright

our camellia shone pink

alone among the high

grass lawn as most

locally cannot be sane

unless their lawns are

shorn of all hope

as neatness is a trope....

A Seagull's Salute
My dear mother always had a fondness for seagulls.
I don't know why, we lived far from the sea...
The day of her funeral, as the hearse circled the block of our home,
An old American custome hardly done anymore...
I was quite schocked to see a seagull overhead slowly looping as an airplane on
parade...
Near fifty years, and I'd never seen one locally,
Food for thought....

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious !!
Scrumptious, and
Usually
Perky, we have
Everybody
Raging about the
Carousel
At Disney
Land !!
If
Fun is
Required
After
Going
Into darkness, after
Leaving Scull
Island,
Steer
Toward your first
Instinct,
Continuing to
Explore
Xtra
Places of
Interest
All Locally en -
Larged purposefully and
Incrementally
Dressed for the
Occasion. The
Carousel
Is
Of

The Days Are Long
The days are long and getting longer
So my boredom’s that much stronger.
To complain feels even wronger
Since I am okay.

I read, I write, I do my walking;
On the phone or Zoom, I’m talking.
Still, at travel, I am balking;
Locally, I stay.

Pandemic life has been a trial
And, although it’s been a while,
I can’t say for sure when I’ll
Be comfortable away.

Others plan a nice vacation
Which is little consolation.
Maybe with some motivation,
I’ll go, too, someday....

Premium Member Hawaiian Pineapple
The best pineapples are grown domestically. They come from the Aloha State of Hawaii. However, you can't buy them locally. The fruit in cans may come from Central America. Some come from Southeast Asia. So, if you live in Alaska, or any of the states in the continental forty-eight, I have to tell you something that won't sound great. No, you can't find Hawaiian pineapples on the grocery shelf. If you want the real thing, go to Hawaii and get them yourself.

Worldwide Riot
It is blooming
Up from the ground
Anger is fuming
But it doesn't make a sound

All this i've seen
All this it's done
Under the sun
Turning brown to green

But it's not a plant i speak of
It's a message that is said
It has been sent from up above
Now its in everyones head

Killing time is normal to do
And this i mean literally
This will come we all knew
And not just locally

No this will be worldwide
And there's no way to avoid it
You can't run and hide
Not from this riot...
