Wisdom comes to me.
Light bulb glows above my head.
I’m enlightened now!

Only four weeks old
Staring at a bare light-bulb
Screaming for my Mum
Inspired by Danielle White’s competition
“My Earliest Memory”
~instilled it in mine
passions brought forth intertwined
light bulb is turned on~

Trumps White House was short
A light bulb, leader, and class
But longer on blanks

Flickering in green gold
Floating little light bulb
Flying with silent wings
Flightless females await
Flashing to find a mate
Fluttering together
Flare of sparks dance composed
Sitting in the glow of the sink's fluorescent light bulb.
Relaxing on his couch as I am playing and writing on my phone.
Thinking of all the things to tell him when he is fully awake.
No ink. Can't think.
Light bulb. Got STUBBED.
TIME TO WRITE
WHAT IS DUE.
BUT INSTEAD.
KEEP IT IN MY HEAD.
WATCH TV
FAVORITE SHOW.
DON'T BE SHOCKED
WRITTER'S BLOCK
IS IN STOCK.
The colonial duty of an iron is to smooth the untamed grass into areas of growth.
Dismiss shell like existence and reveal the warrior within using the light bulb glow.
Dance. Dinner.

Sun
filters
through the clouds
like a lamp lit
by a white light bulb,
as wind pushes against
my window pane in soothing
sounds that make me want to curl up
with a good book that takes me on a
journey into another place and time.
Every Idea Won’t be a Light Bulb Moment
But Great Ideas Can Begin with You!

Generally, a great idea,
Is worth no more that its core thought’s,
And no less than the elation associated with it.
Tom
Sometimes I have a sixth sense
So I check my puppy’s mouth
Yesterday he was eating a light bulb
Today he was chewing on a rusty elongated screw
Every day is an adventure
As I climb into his mouth to retain our scissors or whatever
Buzzing loudly,
Is that coming from me?
Dust and filth in my shade,
Slightly cracked, was this how I was made?
My light yellowed and dim,
The chances of me getting a new light bulb are slim.
But I've been here for so long,
Everywhere else feels wrong.
I've often heard The Bible referred to as The Good Book,
yet the bible discusses every depraved perversion ever undertook.
Don't believe me? Have a look.
I'm not being judgmental here guys.
Believe me, this light bulb moment for me was a freaking surprise.

Dearest Marmite Man I await your response
With Vege-mitey breath
Or have you finally realised
You are out of your mitey depth?
Have you had a light bulb moment
And seen the errors of your ways
Thrown away your Mar-mud jar
Happily eating Vegemite now …. Happy Days!!!
(Haikus from my short poetry collection in Greek: Se ?????? st????? ??????asµ????, Perched on a few verses,
translated by me.)
A broken light bulb.
It’s dawning. The naked street.
A butterfly.

Upon the branches
of dawn, the day’s rustling
silk dreams.
Have you ever seen a sad retriever?
Of their true love, we are the receivers,
How many need to change a light bulb? None,
To them, there is perpetual sun.
Tongues lolling, tails wagging,
Always smiling, never flagging,
Yes, we love our happy fur friend dudes,
With their positive mental attitudes!
dainty scavenger floats down
onto a mystery orb
peeks through her pretty window
wondering at the sheer beauty
of this effervescent petal
something mystical about her
An anomaly in the woods
Possibly grown by the
Felled tree
Never saw a full grown oak
landing in this spot before
A magic moment
The light bulb absolved its flickering duty
Bayonet stuck in the depth of despair
‘Screw you’ but the mismatch prevailed
Life takes a psychic but the medium is fraught
The planet a stroboscope for fits of illusion
She severed the cord and turned on the gas
Shadow play and the pantomime was over
Edison
most of us think electric light bulb
it took him 10, 000 recorded tries
that is 9, 999 failures
but he did it.
Edison
did you know he also invented the motion picture camera?
in 1892?
he had such an amazing mind
I have no idea how many failures he had before he got it right.
He was a persistent genius.
Edison
When I think of positivity and negativity
I think of a light bulb as an example, for you and me
Turn the light bulb on
Your positivity shines bright as can be
If light bulb burns out
Shows the negativity
Being around people like that
Doesn't help you or me
Makes our positivity start to fade away
Then we become negative, as can be

"White Swan on a Chequerboard"
The White Swan
was a sight to behold
skipping squares
in 3 moves
Nights never
stay long
in the realm of
Black Swan
she lights up
too hot to touch
just like a light bulb
some kind of
graceful war dance
just like some
tightrope walking

First light bulb
Invented by Thomas Edison
1879
Over 3,000 designs
A science inventor
Carbonized filament
History in the making
Eclectic lightening
An extraordinary idea
Glass reflects the light
Fluorescent bright
Lamp shines
Current through utility
Illuminating
Used everyday
Creative indeed
Light so we can see

A smile that glows
Brighter than a light bulb
Among light bulbs
Instantaneously melting
Unforgiving glaciers
A smile
Often exploding
Like a supernova
Shamelessly exposing
Blinding pearly whites
Ah yes, it does glow
In the dark
It's intensity overpowering
To the observer

nature’s light bulb in the eye of the rising sun appears
dark sky breaks open, ushering in a fresh day
glorious pinks, yellows and oranges
flung like paint from a sixties paint spinning machine
a lone tear slides out of my eye, as my soul is overcome
with this majesty.
Words are insufficient
I could never paint
like our Ultimate Painter.
So I stare, mesmerized.
