No Pain No Gain

I just invented Lego Shoes, so now when you step on Lego, it doesn't hurt; it just means you grow taller

My Chistmas List

what I want for chirstmas is,
some lego monster fighter sets,
and the skylander pop fiz

I would also like epic micky 2,
and maybe magic tree house books,
and what about a playmobil zoo

Brick Boo Boos

Under my breath I cuss and mutter
As I step on lego clutter
They sneakily stick inside my feet
All the pain I can't delete
They're like ninjas in the night
And I can't win this ouchie fight

There once was a young lad named Garrison whose Lego skills had no comparison. A few thousand more pieces? Aptitude just increases: in a flash, he’s outbuilding everyone.

Parenting

My kids are always crying.
I’ve tried trains and games and Lego Sets
But I don’t know what they like.
Exhausted, I turn on the TV
All is quiet. Together,
we sip apple juice and watch cartoons

Tread Softly

TREAD SOFTLY

I do recall a quiz question
Who made the most tyres
The audience was tasked
The answer is Lego, I fear
But was that in a good year
Some loud wit then asked
Another called them liars
It gave us all indigestion

Premium Member Lego Play

Jane and John with legos played.
They built a tiny city.
But along their big dog came.
Oh, my, it was a pity.

Their pet dog ran through the room.
Their city got knocked down.
They locked that dog out of their room
and built a brand new town!

Premium Member Let Go That Lego

Pregnant with purpose poetic pause
Writer’s block is not a loss

Tiz diner delay in dinner display
Food for thought will come someday

Until then freewrite little bird
Let loose excite winged word

For your talent is too great
To let a little Lego block in the way

Lego Blues

He built a tower,
he stacked it high -
but couldn't climb it,
which made him cry.

She made a lorry,
but lost a wheel,
then bashed her brother -
oh, hear him squeal.

'I'm banning Lego,'
their Mummy said.
'I tripped and stumbled -
and banged my head.
Now go to bed!'

Where were you

Grandma gave rugrat a gift,
Into the toy box I did lift,
It was so plastique,
Not quite fantastique,
Grandma, Grandma, where were you,
When I stepped on Lego at 4:32?
Foul language approached,
On my bare foot it encroached,
Sheer hell, granny, thank you not,
No wonder I am now a sot!

Lego Hair and Knicker Elastic

Mum..Why did you give me lego hair.?
To upstage my Alan Carr teeth
And stretch that grey nylon pinefore
Tight
To ridicule my chubby young knees

And why dear mummy
Was my elastic bands so tight
As they struggled around my chubs
Was Battleship grey
The fashion
Of socks those days..
Dear mummy
.
Me thinks not!

Premium Member Lego Blocks

Building with my Lego toys toys toys,
brings my hands such joys joys joys.
Red blocks, blue blocks, yellow too,
building gives my hands something to do.
Lego blocks shaped like a bird and a tree
other blocks put together and shaped like a bee.
Lego blocks collected in a red bin
Leave the bin on the table to play again.

Premium Member Brick By Brick

Higher and higher,
brick by brick.
Snapped together
makes them stick.

Green on the bottom
then blue, then red.
Add one more block,
take it down instead.

Maybe a white one,
or maybe a black.
Who knows how high
I can make them stack?

When I am done,
I will let you know.
So, just let me play
with my Lego.

Lego Movie Prophecy

One day, a talented lass or fellow,
a special one with face of yellow,
will find the piece of resistance,
from it's hiding refuge underground,
and with a noble army at the helm,
this MasterBuilder will thwart the kragle and save the realm,
and become the greatest, most interesting person of all times,
and it is true because it rhymes.

Where Are They

A tiny baby dollhouse doll,
A bunch of dominoes,
A puzzle piece, a stacking cup -
Where are they? No one knows.

The cover to some match-up cards,
The crayons in a box,
Three golf balls from the matching set,
Assorted Lego blocks.

These items and a dozen more
Are AWOL and I'd bet
That I'm the only person
In the house who seems to fret.

Premium Member Lego Set Scenario

Lego sets are now kept under lock and key at the big box stores
I realized why when I saw their exorbitant price tags
the cheap ones are sixty dollars
some are up to a hundred and eighty
after pressing a buzzer for help unlocking the case I walk away
because I do not know which ones my grandson already has
and I do not want to spend over a hundred dollars to disappoint him

Premium Member Legos Nursery Rhymes

My bedroom has a rug on the wood floor,
Many colorful squares are everywhere.
I made a tall blue tower up my door,
It went into the pretty orange air.
Building away from the Lego red bear,
Rusty the red bear wants to tickle me.
Up the tall blue tower I now must flee.

Lego Words

So a poet you want to be
playing with words
like a child with lego
at his mothers knee

using the bricks to build something new
like words to express how your feeling blue
or red for a wall or if your happy instead
the wall willl be strong
and the words well read

so you can create an image for all to see
one will be solid
and seen through the eyes
the other a picture still
yet built in the mind

Child's Play

In these hetic and busy days,
Stop and watch how a child plays.
No phone,no fax,no emails allowed,
They live for the here and now.

One more puddle in the rain,
One more Lego block remains.
One more trip with a toy train,
How they keep it simple is so profane.

So as we rush through life let us learn,
From the children how we can return,
Back to the more simplier days,
And take time to live like a child plays.

Premium Member history of legos

legos were invented ninety-two years ago
in 1933
their name came from two Danish words
leg godt
meaning “plays well”
six lego bricks can be made into 915, 000, 000 configurations
I have no idea how research knows this
I imagine this was calculated by a computer
Lego makes more mini tires a year than
Goodyear makes automobile tires
In my family Legos were not a hit until the 1990’s.
I had no idea they were invented in 1933

Choppy waves,
currents sing in the waining day;

They hide an undertow which wears upon the world.

Here is a biome concieved in truth
beauty born in combinations,
this chemical collective holding host to parasites and symbiotes alike
