Premium Member Herbie the Life of the Party

Herbie was the ultimate party guy
always had the largest smile
dancing a jig or leading a congo line
sometimes he would scream with joy
startling those who did not know him

Premium Member Blue

He’s Paul Mauriat.
Leading a French orchestra,
he had a hit song.
It was titled “Love Is Blue”,
an instrumental for you.

The Cricket

Up the hill the cricket goes.
The ant queen, a helmet she bestows.
A stick as sword, a pebble as shield.
Leading a swarm over the field.

High hopes, ambitious pride.
Too bad, the little cricket died.

“No more of this!
Am I leading a rebellion?
Put your sword back in its place,
for all who draw the sword will die by the sword.
Put your sword away!
Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?"

Elusive

Love is not an illusion
It is tricky
And elusive

Where is the girl
Leading a charmed life
She secretly covets
To be a femme fatale

Where is the femme fatale
Who yearns to be good
I am the nemesis

I desire and dream both...

Faithless

render to Caesar
what is his,
lost faith hoovers
try to believe
leading a spotless life
bottle half full
don't forget your soul
burning midnight candles
pledge your touch
a chagrin of a chance
leadeth with me
to a challenged place

Family

For me a lofty rooted tree

Always showering oceans of glee

Most gracious blessings pouring on me

I gratefully to God make a plea

Leading a joyful life with my family

Yearning for perpetual presence in the world of me.

A Word, Men and Desire

A word,fruit of poets paradise
With a touch of essence, he write his delight
of men,and all with sight
Men dreaming schemes dreaming hope
Hanging to that, gold as a rope
And his drown in waters of his desire
Desire,a blind leading a blind
its looms touches the mind
it's as a light as a fire

The Pacifist

They have kicked and kept him out of the military;

                  with the brutality of war he could not agree;

                                          ah, but you see

                                              what irony,

now he's leading a batallion of a rebel army !

The Atonement

Footprints leading a life
I try and follow in their steps
But days, lag somewhat behind
And in need fall to my knees
When washed away by tempting tides
To feel the warmth of heaven
As the atonement comes alive
Redemption of a soiled soul
To walk on, head held high
He lives...
Son of man who gave all life
Form: Verse

Order and Chaos

Guider of Nature
Guides life through winter, spring, summer, and autumn
Through dark, cold, bright and warm _______
Guiding a desolate world to prosper

Leaders in the crowd
Leak orders on their own feelings, gains, or losses
For selfishness, ignorance or fame-gaining_________
Leading a quiet society into confusing

Many Namesakes

Boots in air
an elite brain hangs out
from the tall tears.

It does not search an exit.
Time moves out
with a murder in eyes.

Leading a spartan life
in a lair, in tune
with absolutely zilch.

A sexy mouth mimes
for a glittering tree.
Parakeets were coming in swarms.

Can you believe, he was
in a hit list
of a gliding moon ?

Passion

Passion is an intensely compelling feeling of enlightenment
amidst ravaging ravens tearing your flesh to shreds,
It’s an unrelenting yearning for something or someone
like carrying the cross up to the Calvary
with an intense penchant for pain arousing pleasure
leading a mortal soul toward resurrection for eternity.

Dreaming

Dragon fire and fairy wings,
Myth and magic, wizards and rings,
Through the door into fantasy land,
With the Elven warriors stand.

I will go where my dreams take me,
Over the land, or out to sea,
An explorer out in a foreign land,
Or on the stage, leading a band.

On a catwalk in a party dress,
Getting dirty and making a mess,
On the night train, rocking away,
Dreaming along to a brand new day.

Carol Brown

Crowned the queen of creativity: she is
Always adding aroma to art with alacrity,
Rhyming rhapsodies…and raising red roses.
Oh oasis of outstanding opera! you are
Leading a lively, lovely, lady-like life.

Brown… bold, bright and beautiful! She is my
Red-hot favorite: a rare gem in my roll of honor; always
Opening our minds to overwhelming oration.
Wisdom wanders in her wealthy wells... she
Never niggles at the novice in her noble nursery.

Leading a New Life

L-eading a new life,
O-ne must do every day;
R-ight path he walks in,
L-eaving behind the wrong way.
Y-ears dark that have passed fade from the memory;
N-ights so cold that come can turn into dawn of beauty.

R-ainy evening disappears,
O-nly when the morn breaks;
D-ay fifteen in June rises,
I-f that's what it takes.
L-iving in sin sinks one deeper,
L-ose not from the strife;
A-llow your mind to fight evil,
S-tart leading a new life.

Hidden Beauty

Freshly fallen snow sparkling in the sunlight leading a trail to grandmas cabin nestled deep within the woods, where tall trees cover the area a hidden beauty seen mostly in fairytales.

The smell of pine, cedar, and oak combined with smoke from the chimney and the reddest cranberries you have ever seen capturing the moment in delight with the aroma of freshly made cinnamon buns served with coffee overlooking the fresh sparkling snow in a cabin covered in snow.

Premium Member Loneliness Lives Next Door

We learned about lonely people
At a tender impressionable age

Our neighbour was sixty or so
A widower leading a quiet life

Grand-father figure to us kids
We’d drop by visit the odd afternoon

It was dark and lacked life or joy
His little house felt smoky and cloistered

He taught us how to play cribbage
First sips of beer, cigarettes, silver coins

He seemed so painfully lonely
In his little house smoky and cloistered

The Midnight Shores

The gurgling stream,

leading a straggling line

of cattails

down into the valley

to circle our sleeping village

nourishing bright slashes of

golden rod

slaking the thirst of ponies

shaking out their manes

in moonlight

tickling the toes of wild children

splashing in the shallows

dousing out the dying embers

of the last campfire

carressing the form

of a maiden

swimming at midnight

out to meet a warrior

in a white canoe.

Slumbering Science

A world of separate objects
Has been the province of science
For centuries following centuries..
But now an occasional shudder
Cast by an uneasy perception
That our roots in separation
Have been only a useful dream..
The dream has turned sour
And has drawn a darkened film
Over eyes..eyes seeking
Understanding in the shadows..
New discoveries find Fields
Of openness and not-knowing
Leading a few scientists to
A science clear of slumber...

Despair

Sad.... Dark....Cold....
Everyone moving slow at a snails pace-
As if all movement is leaving their feet.
Gloomy...dark faces...all around me...
Faces..known and unknown alike..
Reminicing over what used to be.

Choir dressed in white and Gold robes...
Leading a sad..dark..slow procesional.
"Going up Yonder"... sung in the distance.
A familiar face buckles at the weight of sorrrow...
Finally, the sound of quiet, as everyone retreats.
With their memories of what once was.

Dog's Life and Death

It was drudgery,
mundane and back breaking,
they said often,
you are leading a dog's life,
just a straight line,
no trouble and strife,
bearing the burden,
a day will come,
all of asudden,
when you will collapse,
and in death relapse,
move a little here and there,
from your path,
look at fun,frolic and froth,
there is time still,
before you get still,
this did not move me a bit,
I had my road again hit,
knowing well fun,frolic and froth,
leads you to a dog's death.

Not the Victim

Living a life of question. The games and battles.
Leading a life for gain to the outsider; yet a soul crying out for purpose.
You watch me climb, conquer and the gaze can't grasp the underlying power that lies for the taking.
A heart within that sacrifices everything for the truth.
For the gains of the world will never discredit the power of that.
I step down for a greater purpose, it's breaking within.
A deliverance of ones self that is more pure than the breath that lies within.

Silent Madness of the Mold

She drove me into madness and a hollowing despair,
Meddling with concern with the greatest amount of flair,
Probing a life of personal choices that is only mine to know,
Crushing my spirit into her mold and refusing to let me go.

She never makes a stand for others if their could be cost to her,
Leading a life to please the people without creating any stir,
I can not fit that shape she wants my unique and brazen soul to be,
Instead I live in her requested silence and eternal misery.
