A footprint
is a fragment of a chapter
in the journeys of people
as one's feet act like a pen
to write their story while they walk
in order for every step and minute detail
to lead up to the completion
of building one's palace
that would be remembered for countless centuries

Premium Member Slowly, But Surely

Thank you, oh! my Lord
For letting me accept
Your divine wishes
Slowly, but surely.

It’s your kindness, oh! my Lord
For letting me begin to learn
Of your invisible ways
Slowly, but surely.

Pray, open up, oh! my Lord,
Those exalted paths that
Lead up to your feet
Slowly, but surely.

I yearn to be with you, oh my lord,
Since the moment I felt
Awakened from my slumber
Slowly, but surely.

Brian's Sonnet

Natural beauty, Spewell Bluff
The Flint River's tall, green, pine woods
and smooth, cool, grey, flat, river rocks
Make a shady get away day
Become family fun, skipping
Rocks across the water for sport.
Nature trails lead up, up a step
Hill for the strong of leg and heart.
Fishing or swimming is a choice;
Volley ball and canoing across

The grey shallow water holds fun
at the Spewell Bluff State Park;

Do I Matter Anymore

Do I matter anymore,
Do I matter to you,
Does it matter if I make a decision,
Does it matter if I cry too,
Does it matter what I do,
Or does it matter I came all this way,
The arguments things lead up to,
Leaves you with nothing to say,
Again does it matter what I say,
Everything rejeted in a certain kind of way,
Do I matter,
Not at all,
Because mattering means nothing to anyone,
Not ever,
Just not at all....
