Slowly, But Surely
Thank you, oh! my Lord
For letting me accept
Your divine wishes
Slowly, but surely.
It’s your kindness, oh! my Lord
For letting me begin to learn
Of your invisible ways
Slowly, but surely.
Pray, open up, oh! my Lord,
Those exalted paths that
Lead up to your feet
Slowly, but surely.
I yearn to be with you, oh my lord,
Since the moment I felt
Awakened from my slumber
Slowly, but surely.
