Weiße Seerosen / White Water Lilies / Lotos blancos
Weiße Seerosen
Sie tanzen einen Reigen
Auf dunklem Wasser
White water lilies
They perform a round dance
Over dark water
Los lotos blancos
Ellos bailan una rueda
Sobre el agua oscura

Eleven P.M.
Now twelve midnight, two A.M.
Water flows freely
Sleep eludes my eyes
Three A.M., four-thirty, augh, sigh
Water flows freely
Waterfall gases with colors of rainbow,
Blossoms along the banks.
While a hoarse gobbles on grass
A woman swims in the water.
The water runs slowly down the creek,
Until the pace picks up by the bigger waterfall,
Down the banks a ways.
Relaxing and being drawn asleep by the sounds,
Of…….
Birds chirping and water splashing,
Leaves rustling and bushes blowing in the wind.

Natural beauty, Spewell Bluff
The Flint River's tall, green, pine woods
and smooth, cool, grey, flat, river rocks
Make a shady get away day
Become family fun, skipping
Rocks across the water for sport.
Nature trails lead up, up a step
Hill for the strong of leg and heart.
Fishing or swimming is a choice;
Volley ball and canoing across
The grey shallow water holds fun
at the Spewell Bluff State Park;
There are so many waves
I try to count but lose track
I realize they all come flowing back,
Back to the shore over and over again
I can't help but to think how it feels,
To finally reach the sand and get swept off,
back to the water of waves.
I question their existance,
Why they run away?
Run from the water of waves
Maybe its because they want to feel free,
Or maybe that's the way they need to be
I try to count but lose track
I see the waves coming back
