No rooster will lay an egg
No human male will give birth
No snail will move fast
No fish will walk
No bird will fly to the moon
No squirrel will hate nuts
No poem will ever die
No phoenix will rise again

I'm waiting for you

                                        butterfly

                              milkweeds are in bloom

The Sisterhood of the Ziploc
Starving a fever,
stuffing a cold I'm following
happily that old
advice: pumpkin pie,
coconut cake, excellent
for easing any ache.
O Chochona!, it's pneumonia,
so much chicken soup
from friends in the coop,
dark and white, breast
and leg have me almost
ready to lay an egg....

“Don’t take candy from a stranger,”
My mother said,
Unless you’re dressed like Frankenstein
With a hideous mask on your head.

If Christmas is about a baby’s birth,
Why do we buy trinkets and bobbles,
For all daddy’s worth?

When that baby died,
And rose from the dead,
To celebrate they told me,
A rabbit can lay an egg....

Dear Heart One Hummingbird Two Not For Contest
Their wings move with lighting speed
With Their long straw sucking up nectar
They dash to and fro almost as fast as their wings
Amazing to watch but hard to take a picture

Tiny in shape but so cute
I have never seen one rest
I have no clue how they could lay an egg
I imaging their boyfriend would have the same problem

They are fast little suckers...

Happy Easter Everybunny
I've wondered how a tiny seed,
could make an Apple tree,
but after taking science,
It's simple as can be!

Then I wondered how Columbus,
knew the earth was round,
but history answered that for me,
Without a single sound.

'Course I had a lot of trouble,
understanding about the sea,
but Geography knew the answer
"Twas easy then for me.

Now I'm really awfully smart,
and for answers seldom beg,
but now I have to ask,
"How does a Bunny lay an egg"?...

The bunny came and hid the eggs
since he’s mammal the question begs
	where did they come from?
	did he buy lump sum?
wonder what he’d do with frog legs?

What’s with the chicks following him?
maybe they’re there on a wild whim
	difference in age?
	large, I’d wage
but I am not a judge of them.

Then there is the most obvious question
if Easter Bunny is male, concession,
how could he lay an egg
	down his long trouser leg?
I think I need a therapy session....
