when I saw the word Monarch I thought you were English and was visited by the queen I didn't get the metaphor when you said she laid an egg. don't we love the English... I mean the language...

I had never seen that before. And I even got to share it with a dear friend, she showed up moments after posting this, and gaped in awe with me as it lay eggs in plain sight before us. Magical! ;) xomo

Indeed! A couple years ago, late summer, I complied to a compulsion to sculpt a butterfly (had never) Lo the next morning I found a butterfly had been swept in the day before, resting three feet from where I sat. I took it outside to sun up and it flew away.

Yeah, stings too; the wasps were driving me nuts in the house last year so I started feeding them outside. Made everybody else nervous ;)

We do!! I'm just waiting to get a complaint about my front bird/butterfly/bee garden, my wild globe thistles are seven feet tall! I think I better preempt with a plaque ;) and knowing I have eggs in my backyard milkweed patch, it's a nursery now! Thanks lovely! xomo <3

My heart was breaking with not having seen a single Monarch this year. Then literally minutes after I wrote this, she arrives. And to boot, my first time ever witnessing a female lay eggs. So excited. xomo!
