A Dissipated Dream
a dissipated dream
wakes me from night of fantasy
all lacerated in your touch
and tingling in your words
faded in fleeting memory.

Jagged Framework
Within a fecundity of fatuity
Squandered were all endeavors
Fazed I eluded
Unequivocal passion was sought
Yet still squandered were all endeavors
Candid without knowledge
Lacerated and forsaken
Forlorn I languished
Betwixt the vacuous cracks
Of black and white pavements...

Retold Journey
Insane
I turn around
an amputee

to live, for not living
fighting the inner war
speared,
lacerated,
like neanderthal in cave

my weapon
the serrated moon
cried in fluted dark

a glimpse of bare bones
the ash of a bleeding dawn
my shuttered courage
in urn
there was only one evening

The Mourning Dove
THE MOURNING DOVE

The car hit the dove. The driver knew it, but he kept driving, without even slowing down.
It was a case of hit and run accident. The dove lay on the side of the road lifeless. His mate came to check him out. She knew it was nothing she could do.
She screamed for hours and her loss lacerated the day....

Suicidal
Suffering through a crowd of smiles when you're the only one who frowns.
Unto my diluted eyes tears are felled.
Incineration of a lacerated heart.
Corrosion of optimism because dreams were bloodied and killed.
Is longing for death.
Desperation for a listening ear.
Angry conscience emitting sorrow into a stale bloodstream.
Losing control by drowning within unnecessary fear....

Savage Poets
Lacerated tongue, lilted symbolism
Hearts wrenched in pain
Fever eclipsed, words remain
Darting in the dead of night

Some flat, some bubbling
Bitter, bled, absorbing, churning
Never accepting the day's images
Exactly as they sit

In careful wording, a poet's mind exhibits
Transformation of common currency
Full of grace, full of venom
Seeping where other talk just explains...

Premium Member Landfall Devastation
air depression in ocean
thick cloud sucked by low pressure…
moisture billows up

hurricane is born
eye follows blindly the track …
land lacerated by fall

storm surge flattens things on way
flood drowns the ruins…
devastation batters lives

Premium Member White Wings Outstretched
He kneels, this angel we call Gabriel
His white wings stretched as if in gentle mourn

Reddened skies capture his saddened looks
Rages of red in simmering appease surround

For with him lies a lacerated dark angel
Her naked body arched in death mould

Once a night dancer of the dark
Now an empty soul resting against the white

Her once blackened feathers of he
Dilute, as she is returned to the right

Musa's Death
At the embassy
Fleets of steels sighing
Protracted protocols prying
Exodus of seekers of greener pastures murmuring
Hanging hangars rusting and resting
Busy bees bullying deterioration
Officials posses with officialdom
Cabs crowing
Heads heavy with thoughts
Eyes lacerated with tears
Wives in sack-cloths
Sympathizers gulped down dry gins
As the blue bird landed from the air,
The remnant of his remains
Descended from above
Musa,
Butchered in the street of London
