the wind chimes hang aimlessly
a rare event on a summer day in Kansas
they are usually whipping around
jingling a cheery tune
as if we are getting ready to be blown to Oz

as sounds of jingling bells float through the air
It was Christmas Eve and she felt the crush
While last minute shopping in the Yuletide rush
they crossed
out our Christ—

And later that evening she sauntered
along the halls of the cathedral
with callous egoism jingling in her pocket
whilst chuckling of undiscerning humor
I know not the definition of such folly
though strangely I must attest that I weltered in rapture
When she evanesced with no concern for a colloquy
Trillions of stars, all with the same scribe.
Jingling. "Come for a visit,
have a spin within my planets.
Search for life if you must.
It's all around; open your eyes.
Even the dead planets once teemed with life.
Every planet has its day in the sun.
Then they're cast into shadows and die".
Silver garlands sparkling,
golden bells jingling,
flakes slowly falling
on the icicles of pines;
how adorable is
the maiden doll with gifts
who greets all with smiles!
Far in the chilly December night
each star guides Santa through
his long flight filling it
with his Ho Ho that fades in the blue!
The arrival of a blissful glee
Love becomes opening key
I attended a tuneful chime
Jingling and tinkling love
Securing precious time
Housed by love's glove
When love has grown
Removing a sad tear
Happiness is shown
Love rules, not fear
No more strife
But rapture
