Making Poetry a Threat Again
"It'll never happen," they said;
"They're all going to laugh at you,"
Is probably what they meant
- "No it wasn't", they interjected...
...Man;
Some friends I've got these days...
...How could Stephen King do something like this to me?
...All over again......

Premium Member chubby patriotic Clown
Chubby patriot clown spun like a top.
I wish he would stop! I wish he would stop!
Why doesn’t he drop? Why doesn’t he drop?
This was said by my lazy uncle Cyclop.

He’s doing okay, grandma interjected.
She knew Uncle Cy was stuck up and affected.
Chubby patriot clown showed off his red, white and blue.
If you were a clown, wouldn’t you too?...

Premium Member Children Don'T Come With Manuals
Children will generally meet your expectations
Especially when they feel loved and accepted,
When feelings are factored into many situations
When with their parents they feel connected.

They certainly deserve a cogent explanation,
Without anger and threats being interjected,
As to why their parents expect a cessation
Of the type of unacceptable behavior detected.

clinging to her dress
picking up every strand of hair fighting to have it free and I stood helpless;
lost in a momentary haze transported to days gone by,
marked by child like giggles emerging from a broken smile.
“She always did have the saddest eyes”; I remember thinking, before I crumbled to my knees.
“Run away with me” – I begged....

Premium Member Om Ostrich
Om Ostrich inherited Uncle Hillard’s hat with the onyx jewel.
We were surprised for Om never followed any kind of rule.
He was Hillard’s favorite, of course, said great aunt Crown.
Hillard was a wild man before my ways settled him way down.

Om was pleased, he showed the hat to everyone he saw.
The donkey loved it, he interjected a congratulatory hee haw.
The sheep and the pig were not as excited, of course.
But Om got a wonderful neigh from his bestie, the horse....
